No searchable name because she already gets too much attention. Let’s track the real-world harm she helps to facilitate or exacerbate for hate, clicks, and grift.

Death of Nex Benedict.

How ‘Libs of TikTok’ became a powerful presence in Oklahoma schools
The owner of the far-right social media account, who sits on a state advisory panel, has drawn attention since the death of a nonbinary student near Tulsa

LOS ANGELES — Far-right activist Chaya Raichik splits her time between California, where she’s registered to vote, and Florida, where she often travels. But the place where she arguably is having the biggest impact these days is Oklahoma, a state she’s visited only once.

Raichik, who operates the social media account Libs of TikTok, has amassed an audience of millions on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, largely by targeting LGBTQ+ people. Last month, Raichik was appointed to the Oklahoma Library Media Advisory Committee by Republican schools superintendent Ryan Walters, a former history teacher who has been called “the state’s top culture warrior” for his opposition to teachers unions and other conservative targets, including LGBTQ+ students’ rights.

Since her appointment, Raichik has sought to pull books depicting gay and transgender people, as well as sex education, from public school libraries, saying she has found “porn” in various districts. But her growing role in the state has drawn greater attention since Nex Benedict, a 16-year-old nonbinary student, collapsed and died the day after a Feb. 7 fight in a girls’ bathroom at Owasso High School in suburban Tulsa. Family members said Benedict had been bullied for months for being openly nonbinary.
FYI, Musk is one of her enablers.

It isn’t a “fight” when it’s multiple people versus one. That’s an ambush.

No, it's not an ambush. The definition of an ambush is "A sudden attack made from a concealed position. Those hiding in order to attack by surprise." You can trigger an ambush with equal numbers.

I’m not 110% familiar with the details, but I’m pretty sure they were ambushed in the restroom.

Suranis is correct. I couldn't come up with the right word. They were ambushed, but that isn't always the case when it's one versus multiple. Or, is it?

From The Independent:
Ms Benedict told The Independent she arrived at the school to find Nex with bruises over their face and eyes, and with scratches on the back of their head.

Nex told their mother they had been knocked to the ground and had hit their head on the floor. The school district has said it did not notify police and determined that none of the students required emergency medical attention.

Ms Benedict took the teenager to a local hospital, and they were discharged. Nex collapsed at home the next day after suffering what police described as a “medical emergency”, and was later pronounced dead in St Francis Pediatric Emergency Room.

Text messages published by a Fox affiliate in Oklahoma showed that Nex told a relative that they’d tipped water over three girls who had been bullying them.

Nex texted that they “got jumped” by three students, and that they felt “dizzy and nauseous” and they may have concussion.
Preliminary autopsy said they didn't die from trauma. There's some skepticism about objectivity.

Nex was suspended. It sounds like the other kids weren't.

How is it possible that someone could have the living daylights beaten out of them, die the next day and the death have nothing to do with the fight?

Sounds like the same shit these people make up about George Floyd, Heather Heyer and Brian Sicknick. There’s no way the death could be coincidental.

Some are saying Benedict started the fight by throwing water at them. How does that make them the instigator?

That was prelim. Latest:

As of February 27, 2024, final autopsy and toxicology reports are still pending, and the cause of their death has not yet been established.

According to the police, Benedict started the fight by throwing water at the other three kids. I have a hard time believing it was unprovoked. Therefore, there’s no way Benedict started the fight.

There’s also no way their death can have nothing to do with the fight.

Education Department to open investigation into Nex Benedict's Oklahoma school district
Benedict, a 16-year-old transgender student, died last month after a fight with three students in a school bathroom, drawing global media attention.

The Department of Education is opening an investigation into whether the Oklahoma school district where the late 16-year-old transgender student Nex Benedict attended high school failed to appropriately respond to sex-based harassment, according to a letter obtained by NBC News on Friday.

The letter was addressed to the Human Rights Campaign, the country's largest LGBTQ rights group, which had filed a complaint with the department following Benedict's Feb. 8 death.

Benedict died a day after engaging in a fight with three other students in a school bathroom at Owasso High School, in a case that has drawn intense media attention and condemnation from LGBTQ advocates around the world.

In its complaint, the HRC called on the Department of Education to investigate the district for failing “to address the discrimination and harassment to which Nex was subjected” and to determine whether the district violated Title IX, a landmark civil rights law that protects people from gender-based discrimination in education programs funded by the federal government.

“This letter is to notify you that the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR), is opening for investigation the above-referenced complaint that you filed against the Owasso Public Schools (the District),” Karen E. Mines, the Education Department's chief attorney, wrote in a letter to the HRC. “Your complaint alleges that the District discriminated against students by failing to respond appropriately to sex-based harassment, of which it had notice, at Owasso High School during the 2023-2024 school year."

The fact that the newspaper report is so vauge probably means that it was actually the Tranz Kid that started it. And the fact that it was so vague about injuries means that there was probably very little injuries from the scuffle. Saying he had the crap beaten out of him is not supported by the available evidence.

The Trans kid also probably thought she had nothing to fear from 3 girls because she was a Man. You know, bigger and stronger than the Women.

So. time to dunk water on them Wimmins har har but that is not an evidence of Misogyny because Tranz>women on the victimhood thinking. And Tranz can never be bigoted and bullies because they are eternally good and victims.

What I think happened? The Trans kid tried to go into the Ladies bathroom, everyone in there told him to get the hell out. Outraged at being told "No" for once, He dumped a vase on one of the Girls. A scuffle ensued where he was dragged out of the Bathroom and it took 3 girls to do it. (Bigger, stronger, you know)

Then he tried to start the usual shit and then he died from an unrelated health problem.

And if he was anything like the "trans" kids in the school that my Nephew is in, he was a fucking bully who thought he could do whatever he liked and no-one would say boo to him. Because if a teacher so much as say "Boo" to the "Lgbt" crowd they get their ass suspended and accused of hate crimes by idiots. So the Kids throw stuff and bully the shit out of the other kids like little tyrants, and the Teachers can do nothing about it.

This is the crap that is happening in real life. Yes, the Kid could very well have been an asshole. Accept it.

Just curious; how many 'Trans' kids are in your Nephew's school? Total school population, per class, public or private? I ask because from my extremely limited knowledge of the education system in Southwest Ohio they actually seem to be few and far between and not often rising to a quorum that would be an effective bullying force. HMMV.

I have no idea the numbers, but probably a lot more than you would think once they realized they could get away with anything by pretending to be Top of the victimhood totem pole as opposed to doing it in a place where they wouldn't be allowed to get away with murder.

Yes, I'm saying children could be pretending to be Tranz and teh gey so they can be little tyrants. How shocking this idea is.

It's a big enough problem that my mother brought it up out of the blue to talk to me about it when we were talking about my nephew. So it's a topic of concern among the Parents and Grandparents. My Nephew is fine though, he's captain of the Rugby team so it does not seem to have affected him emotionally.

Seems counterintuitive to me and it certainly was not a thing that I ever saw in the '50s. Back then a bully was never a cross dresser and would have had a tough row to hoe, but hey it's a new age.

Tomorrow I will check with my son in Philly (a much different cohort from SW Ohio) to see if the Grands have any input on this actually My daughter in law is the one I will ask since she is a counselor/therapist at their pre thru 12 school.

Speaking of "not supported by the available evidence" your homophobic fairy tale drips with it. Beginning with dead naming the victim in your first paragraph and then going on to attribute your own pathological anti-trans opinions to a situation that you yourself admit to not having the full facts of. Your hatred of LGBTQ+ is so overpowering that you can only see the death of a teenager through that warped, black prism. Your lack of understanding of what it means to be transgender shines through with every statement you make. I pity you.

When someone tells you what they are, believe them.

Go to hell Suranis, you sick fuck. Pretty much everything in your deranged rant is not only fact-free, but wrong. There's plenty of information about what happened to Nex that day, this article is about what the school district did in the years prior to the fight.

First, Nex wasn't trans, they were non-binary; there is a difference. They were in the women's bathroom because your ally that is the topic of this thread got a bathroom bill passed that forces students to use the bathroom of their assigned gender at birth. That said, many enbies use the bathroom matching their assigned gender, because it is safer and it is less likely to cause dysphoria compared to trans people.

So fuck you, you slimy, disgusting trans-phobe.

As for injuries, the known injuries are bruises, scratches on the back of the head, and being knocked unconscious. That is entirely consistent with getting the crap beaten out of them. And if you had actually bothered to inform yourself, it is rather obvious that Nex is not some hulk like you've made them out to be.

So fuck you, you slimy, disgusting trans-phobe.

Here's the timeline, taken from the body cam of the school's assigned police officer (video released a week ago):

Some time earlier (a week or two), Nex and the girls got in trouble because of vaping. It is unclear what exactly happened, but it is mentioned that everyone present was disciplined and that was the first time they had met. Immediately afterwards, the girls began harrassing Nex and her friend, including throwing things at them. (My take, though it is nowhere stated, is that the girls blamed Nex for getting in trouble and were retaliating). When asked whether they had reported the bullying, Nex said no, because they didn't think anything would be done about it.* They did tell their mom about it, and she told them to try to ignore it. The fight itself started after the three girls once again ripped into Nex and friend, at which point Nex splashed one of the girls with water from a plastic water bottle. That is when the three girls jumped Nex. Nex did manage to throw one of the girls into the paper towel dispenser, but then they were knocked down and then knocked out when their head hit the floor. The friend jumped in to defend Nex at some point as well.

So fuck you, you slimy, disgusting trans-phobe.

The officer then repeatedly warned Nex and their mom that if they decided to press charges, Nex would likely face charges as well for starting the incident, that dumping water on the girl constituted assault, and that all the previous incidents had no bearing on this one. Remember, Nex had already stated that the girls had previously assaulted them on multiple occasions by throwing things. So not only had the district previously ignored previous bullying to the point Nex no longer believed reporting it would accomplish anything, the police just admitted that the girls had free reign to not just bully but assault Nex as long as no fight broke out. If the traumatic brain injury didn't end up killing Nex, the system's utter failure to provide support drove them to suicide. We're just waiting for the autopsy to inform us how the fight killed them.

So fuck you, you slimy, disgusting trans-phobe.

*This, coupled with the lawsuit alleging years of failing to address bullying, is a huge red flag. I've been in Nex's shoes. I was sexually assaulted at age 11 (by a "good Catholic boy," imagine that) and was mercilessly bullied for years. One time, after being blindsided by a shoulder in the kidney hard enough to make me piss pink for three days, the assistant principal told me since the incident wasn't observed by an adult, he wouldn't do anything because they might get sued. I still got a detention for crying out in pain. The details are different, but the theme is the same: schools do a shitty job of policing bullying, which in many cases leads to suicide attempts. Mine came at age 13 (ironically, it was a fight that I got into later that school year that stopped the bullying). I don't need a tattoo, the scar on my chin is in the shape of a semicolon.

Go to hell Suranis, you sick fuck.
