Too also: Prosecutors (and judges) are immune to civil suits for actions performed in their official duties.

To deter lawsuits like this.

But he's also suing the Martin family, so that does not help them.

Which is a shame, if you ask me. I think if you set a high bar for such suits, but got rid of immunity, you'd find prosecutors much more inclined to be conservative as far as coloring within the lines of ethical conduct.

Also you sometimes can get around prosecutorial immunity. Mike Nifong found that out the hard way, if memory serves.

2012 incident in Sanford, Florida, in which Trayvon Martin died.
He died because killed. By Zimmerman.

But the statute of limitations would get rid of the whole lawsuit. The article posted upthread says Zimmerman was acquitted in 2012. I suppose there's the discovery rule, but he'd have to prove it.

So I am a bit confused. Has Klayman actually filed a lawsuit, or is he just announcing it and trying to get people to watch someone's documentary?

Yes.

Yes, Klayman filed a lawsuit (in Florida state court). It is also a fairly transparent PR stunt for Gilbert's latest fail.

That's GIL's draft. Did he file it? (you'd think he'd post a stamped "Filed" copy if he had it)

I suspect an overzealous computer.

Polk County has around 600,000 inhabitants. The sun will turn to charcoal before the county runs out case numbers.

Not if Klayman succeeds. He’ll just keep filing there.

REMINDER:

Before the Sun becomes charcoal, it will be a red giant and will expand past the orbit of our planet. Thus, our home will be one of the briquets.

We'll need to relocate before then. Plenty of time to pack, though.

Doesn't appear Sun going supernova plays in. But the trailing six zeros may be indicative that it is predestined for blue box filing.

Still haven’t heard an explanation for why they think J was an impostor or why Zimmermans million dollar defense team didn’t notice she was a fake or why someone sympathetic to Zimmerman be trying to impeach a witness that helped the defense.

I believe the explanation has something to do with Zimmerman and Klayman needing attention.
