The Dem caucus is likely letting this play out for now and not appear obstructionist, which could backfire. For now, I suspect they are letting the GOP show their inability to accomplish anything, as all they are capable of doing is showing off to their base. At some point, if part of their caucus feels they actually need to do something to ensure they can capture the general electorate and not just a fringe, they may try and start legislating, which will cause a shit show with the crazy caucus, and popcorn futures to rise.

Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.

If the more moderate side of the GOP starts reaching out to the Democratic caucus to try and accomplish stuff, the Dems can get some things through while watching the right try to destroy their own caucus. There could be a win-win there.

I dunno, but he did such a bang up hatchet job with his access to "the Twitter files" that it makes me worried. Maybe McCarthy will give him exclusive access to something else to slant. Or maybe it's just a debrief on his testimony today. But I can't imagine there being anything good coming of it fo shure.
