I dated an man that had the same condition, he had to be bled every 6 months or so because of too much iron in his blood. It really helped keep him in very good health.

I'm so sorry, you have had more than your share of toil and tribulation. I wish the best possible outcomes for all of it and for you to have the strength (which I have no doubt) to see you through it all. In the meantime...

My husband has hemochromatosis. In theory, it was caught early before it did much damage. He does the regular phlebotomies: about once every two months. From what I remember of the research that I did when he was first diagnosed, joint pains can be one symptom of iron overload.

Much sympathy. It sucks that trouble so often seems to come in battalions.

That is a hurricane, a tornado, and a flood. It is inspiring that you are bearing up so well.

Stage III with lymph node involvement. He meets with the oncologist Tuesday to get started on his "very aggressive" chemo and radiation.

I have no words.

I have no words either. The only one that came to mind starts with an "f".

Having been through my partner being Stage IV, I somewhat can empathize..

but so young :(

He needs an awesome Onc.. that's what saved ms.tek.. she fired two before finding the one..

all I can do is send hugs and energy.. :(
