Today less dark, though the morning was bleak.

Going to Dallas area this weekend to see my two granddaughters. Their parents will be away and I can properly spoil them. My twin is going with me as my fibromyalgia episodes are random and might interfere with childcare. The REAL children in this foursome will be my twin and me. :-D

The Eurobot is exfiltrating from the land of his forefathersmothers. Zeus seems to be unhappy with the decision and plays airline monopoly: remain seated and wait one hour for departure while he plays with thunderbolts over Europe!

Heading out on Saturday with my wife and ( :cantlook: ) my parents for 2 weeks in France - three days in Paris, then a drive to the Cantal to visit with some of my wife's family for a day (my wife's grandmother ran away from the family farm to Paris and became a war bride; her family are still on the farm), then 6 nights in Avignon and five days exploring that region before heading back to Paris and flying home.

Bon voyage, Michel!

I have returned from my Memorial Day Weekend bunking party with my twin and two granddaughters, 2 and 4. We had a blast. They received a sprinkler that lights up as the water swirls around and sprays from various tubes. Even more fun was playing with the hose unattached from the sprinkler and getting Mimi (TRL) wet. She squeals when the cold water splashes her!

They got poker chips which sound interesting, have various colors for making patterns, and are challenging to fit in the package. They also got a BIG cardboard box and a smaller one to decorate and push around.

They learned that to get Mimi or Aunt Lala to move them around in the swimming pool they had to float on their stomachs and kick their legs.

Mimi got lots of stair work and upper body workouts while there. My body paid me back big time yesterday. It was worth it! :P

 Sounds like a real hoot, except for the cold water part. I squeal when squirted with cold water, too! I guess I'd be a hit with the grandbabby's too! Lotsa fun.

I'm glad you enjoyed your time with family, it's so important.

Leaving soon to drive up to the North Fork of LI. :-D

Won't be posting much for several days. :(

The high today here in Texas will be 92F. The high today on the North Fork will be 62F. Quite a change. ;)

Somebody needs to tell Hawaii to chill out until V can get resettled in the Lawn Gighland joint. Or somebody else needs to step up!

Thanks to modern GPS navigation we were able to avoid a big accident on I81 and reach Harrisburg at a reasonable hour. Now, full of pasta with white clam sauce and prime rib, we will sleep soundly to be ready to drive to the North Fork and open the cottage enough to sleep there tomorrow night.

There are several ways to cross the river into NYC from New Jersey. Yesterday the GPS navigation system told us the best way was via the Cross Bronx Expressway . :o

We gave it a try. Smooth sailing. :-D

Mrs. V. took this photo of the Whitestone Bridge with Manhattan in the background as we drove over the Throgs Neck Bridge from The Bronx to Queens.
