Tollie: :bighug:

I hope you are back to your stress free and comfort home in short time. It must be awful. I can't imagine how much you must miss Cisco. The two of you are going to have the most incredible reunion. He will never let you out of his sight again, is my strong suspicion!

There might be a more relevant place, but I just want to make note of a premonition.
NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch will become more in the future.
She was originally a daily blogger about motherhood and hair dyes, then got picked up by Conservative radio. She came off ditzy. Then the NRA thing with the controversial videos. She still lacked gravitas.
I just ended up on her Twitter feed and her image has been redone.
She is speaking on mire serious topics with well written text... vocabulary outside her norm.
She is almost certainly going to enter a larger stage soon.

Liquid, of course, since it conforms to the shape of a container....

This guy, Bill Lipe is a Democrat running for State Assembly in my district. I mention him only because of the ad that he's been saturating local TeeVee machines with.

The beeping is driving us crazy. (For the record, the guy is actually pretty qualified, but he's very narrowly focused on agriculture and forgets that there are some actual cities in the district.)

No idea. Was wondering myself. I would every once in a while pop in and read the craziness there. There’s some real doozie sov cit stuff there. And 2-3 sane people who try to ‘splain real law. I would drop a comment every once in a while. Then one morning POOF it was gone.

so... I had a weekend trip to Korea. Left home Saturday night, back home Monday afternoon.

Set some records I did.

On the flight over I set the World Record for Speed Over A Commercial Air Route. Took the record away from a UPS pilot who had held it since 1996. The new record is Anchorage to Seoul, 7 hours 43 minutes.

And then on the return flight we had a ‘technical problem’ that required an immediate return to the airport, no time to go off somewhere and dump fuel. So on that one I set a personal record for the heaviest I’ve ever landed a plane, 814,200 pounds.

Just a weekend outing.

When you have to dump fuel, where do you go? Is it just over an uninhabited area or a lake or something? I don't remember ever seeing a news report about X gallons of fuel being dumped by an airplane, but our DEQ reports if an accident causes a diesel spill on the highway. I'm guessing you would have to dump a lot more than an 18 wheeler tank can hold.

Bogged down: Volunteers can’t budge Minnesota lake’s massive floating mat
A monstrous floating bog — about the size of three football fields — is refusing to leave without a fight from the spot it floated into on a northern Minnesota lake near Brainerd.

The DNR reported the bog is about 200 feet by 800 feet. The bog is a natural wetland consisting of marsh, dead plant materials, cattails and, in this case, a line of tamarack trees.

Volunteers used several boats — including boats donated by Evinrude — a barge, skid-steer loaders and an excavator in their attempt to dislodge the floating mass.

The first plan tried was to chain together a row of logs and place them vertically between the shoreline and the bog. Volunteers then used skid-steer loaders and pushed the log system to try to push the bog. On the open water side of the bog was a row of boats with heavy-duty utility straps attached to pull the bog. The boats pulled and the skid loaders pushed all morning Wednesday with no success.
:snippity:
Executive Director/State Adjutant Randy Tesdahl of the Minnesota American Legion, who helped organize the bog move, said they made lemonade out of lemons Wednesday. He said the bog may not have moved much, but eventually it will be gone and back where it came from on North Long Lake so youths who stay at the camp will have the opportunity to use the water.
They also tried cutting it in half, which worked. They're going to cut it into smaller pieces, hoping they can lasso and successfully tow the smaller pieces back where it came from. After floating around the lake and bashing several boats and docks into bits, it ended up in front of the American Legion's property, blocking its beach, which is why they're trying to move it.

Wallisville bridge over Greens Bayou closed due to buckling

https://www.chron.com/neighborhood/atas ... 921741.php
The Wallisville Road bridge over Greens Bayou has been shut down "indefinitely" because of unsafe road conditions, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Several photos taken by reporters at the bridge that it appears to be buckling.

The road has been deemed unsafe for vehicular travel, sheriff's office officials said. There are no immediate plans to reopen the bridge.

Wallisville Rd. is a busy 4 lane highway on the east side of Houston. Wasn't there supposed to be a big Federal government plan to repair infrastructure? Didn't Trump tweet about it? ;)
