ETA It’s NaNoWriMo. I was all ready. I got 14k under my belt when the smith hit the fan (autocorrect). What say ye, listeme, can I pretend the last couple of weeks didn’t happen and extend my PeNaNoWriMo into December? (Personal)
Yes! I'll keep on with you! I lost a few days here and there myself.

Dear Fogbowzers:

Please do not give me any popcorn tins for the upcoming winter celebrations. Because of the current political drama, my doctor is concerned I may have "overindulged" thus causing my blood pressure to rise due to the salt increase, my bad cholesterol to go through the roof from the butter, and my colon to be damaged by the extra roughage.

I am not allowed any wine or other alcoholic beverage either. Between drowning my sorrows when "my side" loses a legal or policy matter or imbibing exuberantly when my side wins, I have again overindulged.

Dark chocolate is off the giving list as well. It helped my anxiety and depression during the abovementioned downtimes, yet over-inflated my waistline much to my doctor's distress.

Cheese and sausage in whatever form or container are a no-no too. Salt, dairy and fatty meat apparently would damage further my already damaged health.

While fruit baskets normally are a lovely, healthy gift, see paragraph one for the reason not to buy these. The same goes for vegetable trays.

"Candy?" I queried my doctor. "Causes inflammation and weight gain", the response.

I may participate in the upcoming food festivities with water (no plastic bottle, no acidic fruit slice) and unsalted crackers (soda only, see paragraph one again).

May 2020 be as calm as a monastic temple.

I thought there was a TV advertising thread but now I can't find it.

I haven't seen a MyPillow ad in quite awhile, which is okay because in a couple months I saw enough for two or three lifetimes. Something kept itching my subconscious, and it finally occurred to me. I don't recall that any of the happy customers were POCs. POC workers are shown but most of the customers are white (and many blonde). It felt really off.

Anyway, I don't miss those commercials. At. All.

There's something on the web about nine county prosecutors in California stopping them from using their ads claiming sleep/health benefits for their pillows without ever having done any human trials.

Yeah, but in the newer yet incessant ads he’d toned that down to address the health claims issues. Reality is, business isn’t so great these days.

Planning out the Sunday Dinner:
Beef Stroganott, Peas, fresh dinner rolls, apples and cheese

Beef Stroganott is ground beef browned with onions, garlic, and a bit of carrot, Cream of Mushroom soup, and old fashioned egg noodles with a dollop of sour cream stirred in. So, it's Nott stroganoff, but it's still pretty tasty.
