Best wishes for an easy or at least tolerable course of treatment and a full recovery!

Of all the possibilities, this sounds like one of the most treatable. I start chemotherapy Friday. Since the chemo will suppress the immune system, I also will be taking an antiviral, and have to avoid crowds. So there is at least one benefit to already being a solitary introvert.

More big hugs for Vic. That does not sound like a fun diagnosis, and doing chemo by yourself? Woof. Please tell us you have friends and family to help out. This road has some bumps and potholes in it, and you shouldn't do it alone.

Is there a "test thread" where we can play with formatting, etc? I would really hate to post something, edit and fix, post, preview, edit, preview, post, have to fix something else....
Just wondering.

So Thump goes to WV next. Has he read this article?
West Virginia's PovertyRate Increases
There are several other articles that are easily Googled Binged that shows their economy has gotten worse under Thump. Who will Thump blame? Will recovery happen Any Day Now if they just keep the faith and don't bother to improve their educational accomplishments? Will dependency on coal mining hold them back? Stay tuned.

Melania Trump says she is one of the most bullied people in the world; distrusts some in the West Wing

"I could say that I'm the most bullied person in the world," Melania Trump said.
Pressed by Llamas on that assertion, she responded, "One of them -- if you really see what people are saying about me."

Teh Donald taught her well. When you're good, you're the bestest. When you're picked on, nobody is bullied more than you. She married a silver spoon. She's in the limelight. But oh so poor pitiful picked on her.

My brother has been taking the train up from San Diego to be around some of the time. I also have some friends (who are also neighbors; I've been friends with one family for a decade before I moved here) who will lend support.

Off Topic
My suggestion is to use the intro thread, like your own viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8&p=14&hilit=jez#p14
As long as a post is the last you can delete it, or just replace the content with a dot otherwise.
Also use Preview rather than post to see how something may turn out.

Re: Hijack this thread
Dad (87) took an ambulance ride to the hospital early this morning.. chest pains, breathing difficulty.. he's had occasional bouts of this over the past two weeks, and he was actually scheduled for an echocardiogram this coming monday.. but was particularly bad when he went down the driveway this morning to pick up the newspaper, so mom dialed 911.
The blood work says likely heart attack.. Did some EKGs and echocardiagrams, nothing obviously bad.. They are keeping him over the weekend and are going to put him in for more extensive tests Monday before there is any discussion about options.
He has his usual incredibly positive attitude, the hospital staff already loves him
Mom is in kind of a rough place, because her life would be very difficult without him.. she has serious mobility problems, and he has really been key to her quality of life over the past several years.. so I and my sibs are spending at least as much time with her as with him.. keeping her on an even keel..

As a scientist and an engineer I once said "Bah!" .. but after going through ms.tek's cancer adventure I'm pretty sure that the energy from folks near and far really does make a difference.
