That is such a sweet video. Little adorable puppy face. :lovestruck:

It was my very first post (share) on Facebook on August 19, 2015. Before that I just lurked etc.

Thanks for the reminder. :bighug:

ETA my post came from a different source and was shorter and included Lullaby music.

My dear Teddy now struggles with the 3 steps from the main area to the livingroom and the door to the outside. Plus getting into/out of the car. I need to get ramps for him. I've read various reviews, but would appreciate comments from real people with a large dog. He's a big boy, labrador mix.

I'm so sad. He's a rescue dog, and my wonderful companion during a difficult time. He's still a happy guy, but struggling with the mobility problems.

Lani, :bighug:

I don't have any experience with ramps. I'm thinking about getting one for Tulip to get up onto my bed. I have a huge sleigh bed and it's so tall I use a small step stool myself to get up on it! I put one of Tulip's scratching post/trees next to the bed and she usually gets up on the tree and then up on the bed. And she uses it to get down, too. But sometimes she will jump up from the other side and I notice she has a tendency to catch the side rail and more than once ended up limping over to lay down beside me after catching that rail. So, I thought about putting a rail on that side for her.

Etsy has quite a large selection and many people leave helpful reviews there as well. Let us know if you settle on one, I will do the same. I hope someone here has some suggestions for us!

It fails to play for me in Safari but it did open in Chrome on a Mac. The link is to Facebook which may be the problem.

Need to check with Gregg to see if these pups might have the right stuff to be 699th Airborne Assault Dachshund Regiment candidates.

Dogs across the South are dying from toxic algae exposure after swimming in lakes, ponds
by ABC News 4Monday, August 12th 2019

WILMINGTON, NC (CNN) — Two dog owners in North Carolina are devastated after their three dogs died within hours of exposure to a toxin from a blue-green algae bloom in a local pond.

Melissa Martin and Denise Mintz took the dogs to a pond in Wilmington to play and swim Thursday night, August 8.

When they were back home, one of the dogs started acting strangely, so they took her to an emergency animal hospital. The other dogs soon started seizing and showing signs of liver failure.

All three died just after midnight Friday.

The owners want to warn other pet owners about the dangers of toxins from algal blooms, after veterinarians determined that’s what killed the dogs.

An adorable photo of a group of service dogs sitting in a Canadian theater last week catching a production of "Billy Elliot" has gone viral.

The photo shows the crowd of mainly poodles and golden retrievers taking up at least four rows and attentively watching the stage during the Stratford Festival in Ontario. The objective was to prevent fur from flying during live theater so the pups can help their handlers navigate a theater atmosphere.

"They were all extremely well-behaved," Stratford Festival spokesperson Ann Swerdfager told the radio station. "I was in the lobby when they came in, then they took their seats, then got out of their seats at intermission and went back. All of the things we learn as humans when we start going to the theater."

:snippity:

"All of the dogs were fantastic and remained relaxed throughout the performance. Some even watched through the cracks of the seats," said Mackenzie. "The dogs loved the show almost as much as their handlers."

The Maybedog wishes all the denizens of The Fogbow a happy National Dog Day. He’s celebrating by gluing his chin to the floor, as is his wont when he’s excited.

We're having a Jaws drive-in movie party in a couple of weeks. It's not a real drive in. We hang a sheet over the garage door, set up a projector, pop popcorn, drag out the lawn chairs and invite the neighbors over to watch a movie. This will be our third one. Gilda is ready.
