Awwww, Auggie!

Plutodog, ouch on all fronts! BooBoo will be fine. Nature is the best healer and he has the other necessary ingredient, L.O.V.E.
I'm glad you weren't hurt bad when you fell.

Over the years, we've dealt with our animals vs cars, rattlesnakes, scorpions, mountain lions, evil raccoons - oh, the shredding! - gunshots and cactus. Cactus was the worst. Our 100 lb sharpei mix was standing on a ledge that crumbled and dropped him 20 feet into a cactus patch. There was lots of crying and whining and howling - and all that was just from Mr520. He (the dog) had to be sedated, eventually, to get them all out. I'm not sure which was the most expensive, though, the rattlesnake bite to the muzzle (chowchow) or the torn ACL (sharpei). Both in the thousands.

The snake bite happened right in front of me, on our driveway. I was holding 5 dogs' collars and this one broke free. He walked right up to the snake...and it bit him. Chows aren't the smartest dogs. This one tried to climb a 10' fence once, got his leg trapped at the top and broke it struggling to get free. My neighbor found him dangling.

We must really love our furry brethren. :bighug:

Yes, Boo appears to be on the mend from which I must take comfort as he slowly works through the ninth day of recovery. A little more steady hobbling to find the right pee, poop spot, and a little more comfort in returning from the standing to the laying position.
Edit: Squat to poop is still quite problematic.

When Sparty smiles it makes him sneeze. Smile, sneeze. Repeat.

Yeah, so cute, Sparty. I suspect something about the smile screwing up the nose in such a way as to cause the sneeze reaction.

Booboo is still recovering, walking. He can climb small steps, not jump yet (except down from the bed or couch or lap he's been lifted up to upon "request"). It's kind of funny when he approaches a step and gets ready to climb it. Both front paws go up and down several times before he goes for it.

You might not know but in there’s a brand-new tour bus in town—and it is for dogs ONLY. The K9 Bus Tour, which promotes pet health and pet insurance takes pooches sight-seeing all over London, teaching them about the city’s canine history and pointing out dog-centric landmarks.

We got Aidan a new dog today! After the attack, she wanted something a little larger than Gizmo the wonder dog, and would maybe do something like, oh, BARK maybe? if someone came in the house. She knew she wanted a rescue dog so we talked about it and she decided on the City pound instead of one of the private no-kill shelters, so off we went for their Saturday morning exercise-the-dogs romp. We hadn't even turned into the parking lot before she spotted Taffy. There was some initial misunderstanding about the woman who was fostering her so it didn't appear at first that she was available for adoption. We got that cleared up after a couple of hours right before the woman left so Taffy came home with us! She's only about 3 months old but smart as a whip. She's limping on her front paw but it doesn't seem to hurt her and there's no sign of injury but we'll get it checked out, and she has a deformity on her tail but that just makes her cuter!

And nobody there had any guesses as to what her breeds might be. They're usually good about knowing what the mixes are but were stumped with this one.
