But she is cute.

Ted's platelets are still extremely low. Last week I learned that he may have a rare (in Hawaii) bacteria due to ticks that causes a bleeding disorder from destroying platelets. Only the 2nd dx on this island. He's on heavy antibiotics for at least a month and steroids to continue reducing inflammation.

He gets his pills 5x day in pill pockets, which he loves. (The Costco ones and the much cheaper Milk Bone ones.) And he's happy. Actually, rather annoying as he demands constant attention and more pills while I work from home. Full of energy. Leaps on to the bed, into the car, etc.

Big dog park just reopened this week, and we'll be there Saturday. He'll be so happy!

We Rate Dogs person hasn't rated a dog since May 28. This is what he's doing instead.

If your Liveleak url contains a space between the // and the www, then Safari will take you to the right page. If there is no space, the link will take you to Liveleak’s home page. If you use the url linking code around the url, then you get a link which works.

The space was a quick fix, without the space the forum extension ough to generate the correct player code. But it only showed a distorted image of the clip this time

In Georgia, there's a stray dog who has made it his job to protect this kindergarten class — so they can cross the street safely.

He shows up every single day — even cursing out the cars that don't stop.

Dogs, bruh...
My mom stopped to remove a box from a street. It contained a tiny black kitten, and she asked me to take it home. That little kitty was the smartest cat I've ever known. He would turn the faucet to get water, and then turn it off. He opened doors and then closed them after entering. He meowed different things depending on what he wanted.

He always wanted out at 3pm Monday through Friday. I didn't know why. And then he'd come home a little later. He also had some serious health problems. One day he looked back at me before he left at 3pm. That was different.

It turned out that he went to the elementary school to walk with children on their way home. On that day he didn't show up. Parents showed up at my house asking about the cat. Their children were concerned that he wasn't waiting for them. They wanted me to let them know what had happened so they could comfort their children.

My heart broke. I realized that his last moment with me was goodby. I searched for him. Found him in the morning. The best critter I've ever known.

And you know this how?

Been there, done that. No skunks in my area now. Was not so when I lived in Oregon. I even turned a rabbit into skunk bait last week and still no skunkage.

My fault really.

I know better that to throw Frisbees for Auggie at dusk.

But it was so damned hot today, it was the only time it was cool enough to go out.

These are training sessions for his league competition and usually he is 109% focused.

When he broke his fetch and ran into the bushes, I knew it was bad. He almost never breaks from the game.

5 seconds later when he bolted out of the bushes, then stopped, dropped and rolled, I was like "oh shit."

Then the stench hit me.....
