That's incredible, I thought he was going to run out of van before he ran out of dogs, they just kept coming.

I can't thank everyone enough.
Really didn't mean to drag out Dillon's saga for so long, January seems so long ago now.

The details below.
Sekrit Stuffs!
We thought we had Dillon's cancer beaten back as much as ya can, given the nature of Hemangiosarcoma.

Her X-rays were coming back clear as a mountain lake, Radiologists could find nothing bad in them at all.

She got examined by a Cardiologist, because the cancer attacks the heart. It was mostly good, just some enlarged chambers caused by a side effect of the chemo used.

So we had started long term care, and all seemed to be going good. Last Saturday she ate her breakfast like normal, took here pills and went to lay down. That night she wasn't interested in food at all.

Sunday she wouldn't eat anything but her favorite treats and was very tired.

Monday morning she wouldn't eat anything but treats, and off we went to the vet. Her belly was distended a bit, she was bleeding internally. If you look at her picture above you'll see how pale her tongue and gums are.

So it's my limited experience with this cancer that "regular vets" just automatically give up and recommend euthanasia, and sure enough the vet did. We opted for another night home since she wasn't in any pain.

Sent the veterinary oncologist an email when we got home, said "We don't have an appointment, I don't care if we don't, get ready cuz I'm bringing Dillon in."

And we took our last ride. There was a new tumor, now on her liver. It grew from nothing 3 weeks ago to now being a killer. She basically had anywhere from 10 seconds to a couple of days to live. We could have tried 1 more dose of chemo, but the side effects from it had already messed with her heart and another dose would probably send her into congestive heart failure, so no to that.

So ....

Dogs are being trained to sniff out covid19. They've already shown that they can detect some forms of cancer and seizures.

I found this local dog food and treat maker a few months ago, and I took some video of my dog Ginger eating their Mother's Day "donuts" ~ they made a little commercial:

This should be a public FB link. What is the best way to post a video for persons without FB?
eta: wow ~ I see it automatically embeds the vid!
