I find this interesting - a good description of the different types of jumps. I still have trouble telling them apart, but it's the best video I've found for explaining the nuances:
This was lovely! I immensely enjoyed the soundtrack. The first piece was Chopin'sGrande Valse Brillante, Op. 18. The third was Chopin's Waltz in C#Sharp Major which I played in competition in high school and college. The last was Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, 18th variation.

The building is not carrying the Mark Of The Beat --- no T's to be seen --- the man will be seriously pissed of
Vietnam builds the 'world's first' 24 carat gold-coated hotel

The Golden Lake hotel-apartment complex in Hanoi has been crowned the world's first gold-plated hotel, with construction expected to be complete in 2020.

Footage from May 21, shows the glistening gold-plated exterior which startles passers-by and according to local media, has 5,000 square meters of gilded ceramic on the outside.

The complex, which began construction in 2009, is 25-storeys high and located in the downtown Ba Dinh district of Hanoi, on the bank of the Giang Vo Lake.

Built by the Hoa Binh group, the Golden Lake boasts 24 carat gilded furniture, a rooftop infinity pool, and with a price tag of $6,500 per square meter, the complex is now one of the capital’s prime locations.

Nguyen Huu Duong, general director of the Hoa Binh Group, claims that the Golden Lake would become the world's first gold-plated hotel.

So they're trying again, are they? Here's a documentary from a few years back that detailed an earlier attempt to invade us. The geese are much cuter, but stepping in goose poop is a lovely way to ruin an afternoon at the park.

My parents have 3 adult Canadian geese that have taken up residence at their lake and one of them had 4 goslings, then a couple of weeks later she had 6, then 8. They are obviously 3 different ages and sizes so we have no idea where the 2 extra pairs came from but the mama goose doesn't seem to realize they aren't hers. When they had swans on the lake there were great wing flapping, honking displays of "my lake!!" every year when the geese tried to land. Unfortunately, the turtles got the swans so all they're left with is the geese and their massive piles of shit on the dock.
