I love that cat! She reminds me of young Sammy and Powder when we lived in a three-story townhouse in Ann Arbor. They also pulled toilet rolls and Kleenex boxes, loving the stairs as loci for their crimes. And their famous emptying of my top-floor sock drawer, with many trips needed to move every sock to the basement by my computer station.

I post this story because the hero cat has the exact same name as my kitty!

Hero Rescue Cat Fights the Effects of Carbon Monoxide, Saves Family from Dangerous Leak
Kecskes said the cat continually walked up and down the halls meowing, acting like he wanted the family out of the house. Mr. Boo reportedly even passed out a few times during his efforts to rouse the family, continually fighting off the effects of the carbon monoxide to save his loved ones.

“It’s like he’s been waiting his whole life to do this one heroic thing,” his owner adds.

Wow!

If the The Maybedog ever starts meowing, I'll know to get out of the house!

My Mr. Boo is quite the talker. At times he does have a particularly peculiar cry, and I have learned the hard way that when he utters it, he's about to drop a live or dead mouse on me while I'm in bed. See how smart he is? - he's invented a human ejection system!

We used to have a cat, and he had quite the vocabulary; he made different sounds depending on what he wanted. My favorite was the little ack ack ack sound he made when he wanted you to pick him up so he could nuzzle your ear. I miss him.

Poohie had a window seat that she loved and spent many hours sleeping there. Tulip loves my RV and sits up on the dashboard looking out the window. She only sits up there when parked, not when it's running. I put her in her carrier when it's running, or I put her on the bed and close the door so she's confined in the back bedroom. When parked, I leave the front shade up a bit so she can see out, of course that makes the air conditioner run more because of the extra heat. But, what choice do we have when it comes to our beloved kitties?

One day I was sitting at the dining room table working on my computer. I kept thinking I was hearing weird sounds coming from Tulip. I finally got up and very quietly sneaked up on her to see what she was doing. She was up in her window seat watching some birds outside and talking to them! And not just a little bit, she was really letting them have it. It was hilarious, I never heard such sounds coming out of her before.

Thanks guys. Kimber is my bud. She's a rescue that's lived with us for about seven years. We don't know her variety (tabby saddle with white belly), but we have another one named Little Bit because he's almost a clone of Kimber. There are some differences in the markings, but the overall saddle to white ratio, and saddle placement are close enough we often mistake one for the other with a casual glance. Little Bit adopted us about a year ago, and he's starting to get big. The boy has some lion paws on him, but he's super gentle with his claws, and loves a good belly rub.
