Typically the FBI investigates their own shootings.
Then it's fortunate that they are all completely justified, or there'd be an ethical dilemma right there.

Not so curiously, I have siblings who worked for the gov't as agents, both of the gun carrying variety, both having at one time or another worked with both FBI and DEA, their considered opinion that FBI is incredibly inept and over egoed, the DEA a whole lot worse, and working with a joint group a guaranteed life threat, in that working with them you were almost guaranteed to get shot at by one or both groups, the perps usually a considerably lesser threat. They reached the point they refused to work with either group.
The fact that you sincerely and wholeheartedly believe that the “Law of Gravity” is unconstitutional and a violation of your sovereign rights, does not absolve you of adherence to it.

And, IMHO, they believe their own bs. I think Finicum actually believed, ala his book, that he was going to spalm the weapon in his jacket and show all those federales what a real man he was.
Finicum believed it; his spalms did not. That caused the Strangelovian back and forth between air and jacket seen on the video.

Yabut, in his book didn't he spalm from the big iron on his hip? If he'd only been wearing that one the outcome woulda been totally different. I mean, really, how can one spalm from an inside jacket pocket.

I can only wonder why he wasn't wearing his shoulder rig (which would have made it easier to spalm than an inside jacket pocket) and have only been able to surmise that without the shoulder holster it made it seem he wasn't armed, as it wouldn't be visible.

Folks could call the manager at the Holiday Inn Express to Express or harass them for allowing this travesty of facts to be proffered at his/her fine lodging establishment. National LOVES to get comments and e-mail too...

Although it could be like Appalachia Mob Meeting....rounding up the info on the rest of the Bundy Criminal Gang and the local support felons.

May I ask why? I didn't really see anything odd in them being there as I'd expect someone to want to dig the sign a bit into the snow to help keep it standing. If it is a genuine pick of the scene, it would have to had been taken by whomever put the sign there, since there's no water damage to the bottom edge of the sign..

I was looking at the font on the sign, and while there is a fair amount of uniformity in how some of the letters are formed, there are also places where two instances of the same letter look somewhat different - the two m's in commited (which is misspelled), s's at the beginning of a word are different from s's in the middle of a word, the tail on a letter next to a small i is higher than the tail on the same letter if it's next to a different character, and same on. I did note that the "raitor" part of the two instances of traitor are almost identical, but the lower one appears to be a shade bigger than the upper one. Either the person who wrote it has pretty consistent handwriting - which many people do - or its a fairly specialized "handwriting" font that's designed to add a bit of variance, though how that would work, exactly, I'm not sure.

So, ATM I'm leaning towards real, but I'm certainly open to being convinced otherwise, because it seems like a pretty close call.

As discussed in another thread there may be a question as to who and when the FBI agents needed to speak regarding the shooting. Typically the FBI investigates their own shootings. It appears the OSP took the lead investigation on this shooting and it is possible some FBI agents on the scene covered up their involvement or it is possible they followed their rules and protocol for being subject officers/agents in a shooting rather than the rules of the OSP.
http://www.glocktalk.com/threads/shooti ... p.1614775/
I imagine that's a possibility. I was thinking that perhaps the FBI agents tried to cover up the shooting because the shots were fired after Finicum was out of the car and still had his hands up. He had not yet reached for a weapon or made threatening moves, and the Feds may have thought the agent would have been in trouble for firing at an unarmed man who - at that particular moment - appeared to be surrendering, so they agreed not to mention it and picked up the casings to keep his ass out of the fire, so to speak.

What went down in Chicago? 35,000 people and 4 arrests. Crazy Trump supporters responding to being called white supremacists by giving Nazi salutes, and STILL having walkways kept open for them by protesters so that they could leave safely. Trump cancelling because it was a set up, not because of any safety concerns, especially since he never talked to the CPD.

I live here. I get pissed when people pretend that that protest was a riot. If we wanted to riot, we would riot. This wasn't a riot. This was a cowardly retreat by a politician who only speaks to rooms of sycophants. Frankly, I think the CPD were more concerned about the 2 St. Pat's parades that weekend than a mere 35K at a political rally at a downtown campus.
