We really need to recognize this guy. I'm sure everybody's seen his crazy on canvas. I just got an email from my patriot buddies offering me the opportunity to have all three of Jon's masterpieces. Fascinating twisted mindscapes though they are, I am going to miss the opportunity to own my own lithograph of them all at just $30 each plus shipping. Excerpt:Dear Patriot,This painting will never appear in the Obama White House... guaranteed. Perhaps you heard about it on Drudge, Fox News, or circulating Tea Party sites and email. Artist Jon McNaughton -- one of the foremost Barbizon Impressionist painters in the world -- has created a 21st century masterpiece that perfectly conveys the true state of our nation. It's called "The Forgotten Man." Over the past few years, McNaughton watched as our nation was being torn apart at its foundations. He saw President Obama trampling on the Constitution, destroying our dollar and undermining our very way of life. And he felt compelled to pick up his brush and respond. What resulted was one of the most impactful and controversial paintings of our time: The Forgotten Man. This compelling work portrays every U.S. President responding to the rise of statism under President Obama. While some support Obama’s efforts, others like Washington, Lincoln and Reagan look on in disgust as Obama literally tramples on the Constitution -- while Washington and others turn their attention to the focus of McNaughton’s work, The Forgotten Man.+ + By special arrangement with the artist A few weeks ago, we contacted Jon McNaughton and asked if it would be possible to offer this compelling work to our team members. By special arrangement with the artist, I'm thrilled to report that we are offering his 10x15 lithograph of The Forgotten Man — along with two other similarly moving works by McNaughton — directly to our team members. The forgotten man also stars in the Wake Up America pic. He "represents every man, woman and child of every color and creed who is an American. Like you and me, he hopes for a better life, to find the American dream of happiness and prosperity. But now, because of unconstitutional acts imposed upon the American people by our government, we stand on the precipice of disaster. What will his opportunities be in the future? Will he ever have a chance to realize the American dream?"More here, including the other two works of artifice if you're interested: [/break1]grassfire.com/21098/offer.asp?Ref_ID=600002]http://www.grassfire.com/21098/offer.asp?Ref_ID=600002

That reminds me of that whole franchise of paintings by that one jerk whose name escapes me. They are a bunch of semi-religeous, glowing windows in winter, americana schlock.

If you want to see some interesting depictions of past presidents, google up Justine Lai. Unfortunately her web site is down but there are copies around NSFW.

I saw this particular bit of glurge in 2010. His "One Nation Under God" was done in 2009, based on a vision he had during the 2008 election.Shortpacked did a rewording of "One Nation Under God"[/break1]shortpacked.com/McNaughton%20Fine%20Art.htm]http://www.shortpacked.com/McNaughton%2 ... A budding artistic career veered off the tracks into insanity when he found himself congenitally unable to paint pancakes with butter. :-*

Hey!! - This guy isn't worthy to be mentioned alongside the ranks of artists like Don Martin, Mort Drucker, Dave Berg, Sergio Aragones, and Al Jaffee. At least, that's what I thought you meant when I read the title of the thread ;)

"The Forgotten Man" perfectly illustrates the chasm in RWNJ thinking. On one side of the chasm, they pretend to be for the downtrodden, needy, hopeless people (who just happen to be white). On the other side, they support policies and practices that do great harm to the poorest among us. The cognitive dissonance is great.

McNaughton appears to be the Edgar Guest of the art world.

What's funny about the so-called "forgotten man" latching onto Jesus above is he bears an uncanny resemblance to Prosperity Gospelist, Joel Osteen. Who himself has an uncanny resemblance to Ed Grimley.http://sctv.org/characters/edgrimley/edphoto.jpg

New "Art" from the Thomas Kinkaid of RWNJ's:Popular conservative artist Jon McNaughton has released a new painting, the latest in his controversial series of anti-Obama artwork. The Empowered Man—which shows President Obama watching in horror as a thirty something white male, standing in front of the White House holds up the U.S. constitution in one hand and a wad of cash in the other—was released this week.http://www.buzzfeed.com/mhastings/anti- ... -againWhat a wasted life. The man's "art" will never hang in a real museum, unless it's the Oddities Museum or some retrospective on collective conservative insanity of the 2000's.

It doesn't even look like Obama. And how the fuck did this wretched excuse for an artist learn to draw hands, by looking at Egyptian tomb art? I've seen more realistic drawn hands on Mickey Mouse.

Although the artist is deranged, the subject matter is [/break1]blogspot.com/2012/06/citizens-united-is-just-beginning-by.html]terrifying.
