A person named McCarthy may not have much Anglo-Saxon ancestry. ;)

White hats have been replaced by red MAGA hats.

If I could, I would ban members of this nativist Anglo Saxon caucus from ever again eating pizza, nachos, General Tso’s chicken, bagels, shawarma, bbq, tikka, fajitas, sushi or French fries. Porridge and mushy peas only.

I was thinking that maybe these “Anglo-Saxons” traditionalists would be better off returning to their father/mother lands then realised that was where they fled from in the first place. :confuzzled:

N.B. We don’t want them back, thanks.

The problem with the original homelands of Angles and Saxons is that many of them will be under water due to a problem they refuse to countenance, anthropogenic climate change.
I suggest the Bermuda Triangle as a suitable drop-off spot for Greene, Margarine.

...befits the progeny of European architecture
They have not been to Europe lately, have they. The Modernest architecture in the US is downright conservative and traditionalist compared to modern European architecture (the same can be said of opera staging).

Their announcement sounds more like a call for their own Albert Speer. The only real difference between the America First Caucus and the National Socialists is that the caucus uses Anglo-Saxon instead of Arian.

Good thing that Anglo-Saxons have no history of immigrating, to western Europe, then Britain, then the US...

The most noteworthy leader of the “America First Committee” was Charles Lindbergh, who sympathized with the Nazis and whose rhetoric was characterized by anti-Semitism and offensive stereotypes, including assertions that Jews posed a threat to the U.S. because of their influence in motion pictures, radio, the press, and the government.

“The undercurrents of anti-Semitism and bigotry that characterized the America First movement — including the assumption that Jews who opposed the movement had their own agenda and were not acting in America’s best interest — is fortunately not a major concern today,” said Jonathan A. Greenblatt, ADL CEO. “However, for many Americans, the term ‘America First’ will always be associated with and tainted by this history. In a political season that already has prompted a national conversation about civility and tolerance, choosing a call to action historically associated with incivility and intolerance seems ill-advised.”

That didn't last long.

Marjorie Taylor Greene scraps planned launch of controversial 'America First' caucus amid blowback from GOP

https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/17/politics ... index.html
Conservative Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is scrapping the planned launch of her "America First" caucus after receiving blowback from leaders in her own party, despite confirming through a spokesperson on Friday that the caucus would launch.

Nick Dyer, Greene's spokesperson, told CNN in an email on Saturday afternoon the Georgia Republican is not "launching anything."

"The Congresswoman wants to make clear that she is not launching anything. This was an early planning proposal and nothing was agreed to or approved," he said in an email to CNN, referring to a flier promoting the caucus, obtained by Punchbowl News, that used inflammatory rhetoric.
He added that "she didn't approve that language and has no plans to launch anything."

The fact that she and others even considered launching such a racist, vile caucus, is itself offensive.

I'm glad she scrapped the plan, but, IMHO, that doesn't let her off the hook.

Besides, it probably has had the desired affect of appealing to her racist, vile constituents. Now, she can claim that her idea was "cancelled" by the libs and the deep state.
