Is George Conway a Hypocrite Who Should be Called Out for It?

#1

Post by Sterngard Friegen » Thu Aug 01, 2019 8:20 pm

KellyAnne Conway's husband spends a lot of time on Twitter bashing Trump. But over the past two months I've tried to call him out whenever he does so.

Sure he's making a bunch of dough at his law firm. But his wife is making money working for Trump (paid for by us I might add) and she's helping to put food on his table, and to feed and clothe his kids.

I think George is a hypocrite who needs to be shamed for his hypocrisy.

(And, he's an ultra right winger who just happens to be a Never Trump. Or at least plays one on Twitter and the New York Times OpEd pages.)

Does anyone out there agree with me?

You know, it's hard enough as it is to organize a circular firing squad without people turning round and shouting "There goes one over there on the right!"

George Conway is a massive hypocrite, and calling him out is good.

I just don't see his Tweets that much right now because my Twitter mentions are an absurd dumpster fire on account of this anime defamation LOLsuit I've been following.

I think it's a con. I bet they've already begun writing the book.

Didn’t someone post her pay, which isn’t all that impressive? She’d make a lot more as a corporate attorney, I’d think. Must be a book deal.
:geezer: why are you sure she’s the one who wrote the mystery NYT letter? I think you brought that up a while ago.

I think both the Conways are scumsucking vermin. That's just my opinion though.

I don't know enough about him to comment. I just think it's wrong to criticize him for his wife's career choices. Criticize her for them, sure. Criticize him for whatever he's said or done.

I believe George wrote the NY Times editorial for his wife. I believe it was written in his distinctive style. She is reportedly the biggest leaker in the White House. Trump keeps her around because she is good on TV (according to him) and very ferocious in her defense of Trump.

As for not "blaming" one spouse for what the other does as a job, that's not my criticism. Hypocrisy is. For example, if H worked in a slaughterhouse and H's spouse W lobbied publicly and vehemently for a vegan lifestyle I would find something wrong there, especially if both were paid for their work and their salaries supported them and their family.

She probably got paid a lot more during the campaign. Not all of it directly though, but to her polling firm.

Both opportunists just like trump. Kellyanne used to be totally anti trump before he hired her. She's willing to say and do anything for a paycheck.

I would say amoral, hypocritical, equal opportunity grifters.

Is there a worse punishment than being married to Kellyanne?

For me, it's not that a husband and wife have different political affiliations. Kellyanne is not a monster because of politics. It's her ethics. And her actions. She is the mouthpiece for the most dangerous and diabolical rhetoric coming from a place of power I have ever heard. She is a liar and a bully and a racist.

Call me crazy, but yeah, if someone's partner is an amoral piece of shit who is doing great harm to untold numbers of people, and they know it, I lose respect for them. A lot. That he voices opposite views doesn't enter into the equation for me.

Kelly Anne lives!!!

You understand that sometimes before you can deal with a problem you have to redefine it.

Back in the 2000's I was flying out of Dallas on an early morning flight. When I boarded I noticed the first two seats in first class were occupied by James Carville and Mary Matalin. They both had sour looks on their faces and had their noses buried in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. I always wondered how they stayed together as a couple.
