A chilling picture of how hundreds of girls and young women from around the world were trafficked for sex by Jeffrey Epstein, his alleged madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, and a number of other powerful business and world leaders emerged Friday in court documents unsealed in New York.

The documents, a portion of thousands of pages in a 2015 federal defamation case, offer brutal details about Epstein’s trafficking of teenage girls from across the United States, Russia and Sweden — and Maxwell’s compulsive and often abusive quest to provide him with new girls over a span of years in the early to mid 2000s.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who brought the lawsuit against Maxwell and settled it for an undisclosed sum in 2017, is central to the case, providing evidence to substantiate her exploitation at the hands of Epstein and Maxwell through photographs, plane logs and even a medical record from Presbyterian Hospital in New York where she was taken by Epstein after a particularly abusive sex episode.

Some of the testimony is difficult to read, as when one 15-year-old Swedish girl, shaking and crying in despair, tells a butler who worked for one of Epstein’s closest friends that she had been taken to Epstein’s island in the Caribbean and forced to have sex with him and others. The butler relates the story under oath. The girl, visibly traumatized, told the houseman who worked for Eva Dubin, a former Miss Sweden and founder of the Dubin Breast Center at Mount Sinai, and her husband, prominent hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin, that Epstein and Maxwell had physically threatened to harm her and seized her passport to keep her on the island, according to the butler’s statement. She was so distraught she couldn’t recall how she got back to the U.S. mainland, but the butler testified that Maxwell brought her to the Dubin residence.

Skeptical about what? I’m not saying you’re wrong to be skeptical, but there’s fertile ground for skepticism, so, just curious what triggered your skept-o-meter.

Never mind. At a cursory glance it looked like a wealth of accusation and a paucity of hard evidence, but apparently there is a big steaming pile of the latter.

The evidence appears to be testimonial, but such evidence is accepted in every court in the universe.

Jeffrey Epstein, wealthy financier accused of child sex trafficking, commits suicide

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/10/jeffrey ... urces.html
Epstein hanged himself in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center, the sources said. He was found at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

He was transported to by the FDNY-EMS from the jail to New York Downtown Hospital. When they arrived, Epstein was in cardiac arrest, people familiar with the matter say.

Epstein, 66, was arrested in early July on charges of child sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit child sex trafficking after returning from France to Manhattan on a private plane. He had pleaded not guilty to those charges and was ordered held without bail.

He was previously put on suicide watch after he was found semi-conscious on July 23 with marks on his neck on the floor of his jail cell.

Not sorry he's dead. I am sorry his death may inhibit the investigation. I don't care what their political affiliation is, I want anybody involved in trafficking these girls locked up.

Not that I had much hope he'd cooperate.

Twitter is full of Epstein death theories. Trump did it. The Clintons did it. Unnamed 0.1%ers did it.

If he was on suicide watch the jail has some 'splainin' to do.

Dirty cheater. I wanted him to die in custody, but not for many years. :madguy:

I just came from there. It's crazy. The old Clinton hashtag has been revived by the Russian botfarm, which I won't print here, but the left is just as nuts. It's a good day to garden.

:yeah:

It's unfortunate he's not going to trial, but I don't think the story's over. Julie Brown of Miami Herald just phoned into MSNBC, sounds like she's still got angles where the story can go, i.e. how he got that sweetheart deal, where all that money came from and more.

All those properties and $$$, where does it go now? Does the government get to keep the properties they wanted as part of the trial? Can the government let us know what evidence they have from searching his property? Will the victims now be able to file civil suits against the estate?

I still remind myself that it was the PUBLIC CORRUPTION unit of SDNY that brought the charges. Yeah, I'm cooking up conspiracies and :daydream: , but who can be so powerful that got him the sweetheart deal, minimal prison time, victims not being notified and the non-prosecution of unnamed associates (assume Maxwell is one of them) for their presumed roles as recruiting the victims.

MSNBC reported that a jail official said Epstein had just been taken off suicide watch. I would like to hear why authorities thought that was a good idea knowing the document dump was coming.

Suicide watch is them checking on him every 15 mins. Its hardly foolproof. Considering that his life from now on would be nothing but courts, prison and humiliation after a life of excess and power, Suicide is rational and likely. The death of a coward.

May God have mercy on his soul.

Wouldn't there be cameras?

Glad I don't officially twitter, but sounds like conspiracies are through the roof?

I’m with Joe on this one.

As much as I don’t want to see the video of someone “committing suicide,” they have to release the video.

He was being monitored 24/7, and there are cameras all over that place. If there’s not video, something is up.

The Bureau of Prisons is part of DOJ. This should prompt an immediate and comprehensive DOJ Inspector General investigation to determine who is responsible.
