Since Bill Clinton is scheduled to give the keynote speech at Emory Law School's Centennial Gala this Saturday night, you would think that they would be announcing a replacement speaker if Clinton is in dire physical health.

The fantasy press has been reporting Bill and Hillary as on their death beds for the last I don't know how many years, as well as the Queen on her death bed and or abdicating any minute now. And yet, they are all still here.

I see no reputable news source reporting this. Which raises the question: why did somebody publish this? Who benefits? Is it just part of maintaining the chaos that the Russians sought?

Probably the same people who daily proclaim that Chelsea is running for office.

From everything I can see at ReadConservatives, it's a true fake news site. Ignore them.

That site makes the National Enquirer look like the NYT.

Update, per TMZ -
UPDATE: We're told after Petty got to the hospital he had no brain activity and a decision was made to pull life support.
That's too bad.

Years ago, whenever I had a road trip, I'd put in my Tom Petty cassettes. When American Girl came on, I sang my ass off.

Running Down a Dream. American Girl is good though. Yer So Bad, You Don't know how it feels. We had a gym teacher in middle school that used to play that and he had to bleep out the joint part.

UPDATE: Initial reports from CBS News confirming Petty’s death have been retracted, as the LAPD has issued a statement saying it was cited erroneously, and that “initial information was inadvertantly provided to some media sources.” Per TMZ, Petty is currently “clinging to life” but has a Do Not Resuscitate order, and he is “not expected to live much longer.”
Obits and eulogies are premature, but his heart will most likely break before the week is out. Best wishes to his family as they hold vigil at the hospital.

Is it tacky to start a death watch thread on George HW Bush?I don't think he's going to make it to the new year.I don't think it is tacky, but perhaps we could use a separate thread for situations like this. George H.W. was admitted the day after Thanksgiving for treatment of a persistent cough. There were hopes that he would be home in time for Christmas. However, he was admitted to Methodist Hospital's Intensive Care Unit on Sunday, Dec. 23. His doctors say that he is doing better even though his fever rose. He is 88, a tad older than President Carter. [/break1]npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2012/12/27/168122527/elder-president-bush-in-intensive-care]http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/201 ... nsive-care
The above post was made in 2012.

Seeing him at the benefit concert,

I’ll give him props for making it this long.

But damn!
