Giving Tuesday

#1

Post by ObjectiveDoubter » Tue Nov 27, 2018 11:33 am

Everyone! If you are healthy, happy and secure, or just want to feel good -- today is the day to share!

And most websites have made it super easy for today. So many deserving organizations.

My mom (and probably lots of your moms) used to remind me when necessary that the act of giving is a gift itself. Just sayin'.

Thanks, OD! I gave to local NPR station.
A 19th Amendment Centennial Moment: African-American Naomi Anderson was a leader in the suffrage movement in the west, a published poet, barber, community activist, and teacher.

My ancient Mom’s favorite nonprofit is Doctors Without Borders, so on Giving Tuesday, we honor my mom with a gift to MSF.

I donated to several local charities.

South County Cats

The Cat's Meow Spay, Neuter & Adoption Project

Arabian Horse Rescue & Education

Coastal Arabians & Equine Rescue, Inc.

Steven's Animal Sanctuary

Youth Empowerment Shelter

Harmony New Beginnings Animal Rescue

And I got up for 5 am so that my contributions might actually get matched!

Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter

So far this year they have re-homed or sheltered 7,177 animals. The fund I donated to is their Urgent Needs fund, providing medical care to (currently) three dogs teetering on the edge of unsavable.

An amazing org.
