Appeals. State or Federal, Civil or Criminal
That’s all I do. It’s what I’m good at!
An appeal is a legal proceeding where 3 appeals court judges review proceedings which took place in superior or circuit court to decide if they met legal standards of basic fairness. Usually, there are no court appearances and the entire matter is decided on the written briefs of the parties.

If you need to appeal, contact me today.

About My Fees

Outside of law school classes, I learned corporations and the rich can afford any lawyer they want and the very poor often can get the State to pay for their lawyers. It is the ordinary folks in the middle who have the most difficulty affording counsel. So for the past 35 years, I’ve tried to hold my fees to a range affordable for regular middle class folks.

Nevertheless, appeals are not cheap, especially when you want you hire someone like me with 35 years of experience and several victories. My fee is going to be several thousand dollars but I will try to give you the best terms possible.

Almost missed the photo! He reminds me of somebody, trying to think who.

Image

My birth on the south side of Chicago in 1948 puts me smack dab in the middle of the Boomer generation. My family moved to a small Wisconsin town in 1963, making high school difficult because the other kids had all grown up together, knowing nothing of city kids from Chicago. After entering the University of Wisconsin-Madison, life improved. College life agreed with me, so much so I tried to do too much, leading to dropping out. With the Vietnam War raging, enlistment in the Air Force was preferable to the draft and in 1971 I was honorably discharged, having served overseas in Greenland. Finally earning my UW degree in 1974, a foray into local politics was unproductive and so I was admitted to law school at Santa Clara University in California. This was the smartest move I ever made since I found a passion for the legal writing I’ve been doing for the past 35 years.

When I’m not writing briefs, I like to get to UW football games, cheering the alma mater, and take trips around the golden West.

I love my work and look forward to writing the briefs for your appeal.

My Practice

Law school at Santa Clara University helped me learn legal writing was my forte. Since graduation, and then admission to the California Bar in 1982, my practice has been almost exclusively limited to appeals and my success rate is better than average. Of my 40 victories, the most impressive are: Monroe County DHS v. Kelli B., 2004 WI 48, 271 Wis.2d 51, 678 N.W.2d 831 (incestuous parenthood statute held unconstitutional as applied to mother whose children were product of repeated assaults by her father) and State v. Lewis, 2004 WI App 211, 277 Wis.2d 446, 690 N.W.2d 668 (life sentence reversed with directions to dismiss). I appeared before the California Supreme Court in In re David Roy Bakke (1986), 42 Cal.3d 84, 227 Cal.Rptr. 663, 720 P.2d 11 and was successful in part for my client in Pereira v. U.S. Postal Service (9th Cir.1991), 942 F.2d 577.

Besides my California license, I am admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals for the 7th and 9thCircuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of California and the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and all the courts of Wisconsin.

For a lot less than "several thousand dollars" they could get a proper lawyer.

Karl's brief in his appeal of the misdemeanor conviction that he pled guilty to was due today. Can't see that it was filed but maybe it takes a while to be posted. He did hire an attorney though. Seems odd for the Kaptain of Krazy.

I looked up Atty. Provis. Do you think Karl educated him on constitutional law and the 10TH AMENDMENT?

Well it sounds more impressive than "several" :-D

We may have the whole thing backwards anyway, maybe HE hired KARL, I'm sure he has much to learn from him.

On the contrary, Mr Provis is a highly-respected legal expert on an unnamed "Q and A board". Check out this prominently-displayed endorsement from the front page of his website:

Do you think Sterngard would like a commendation about the quality of his fogbow posts to display prominently on the website of his law practice?

Apparently he really is a lawyer. A search on the Wisconsin bar website turns up a Timothy A. Provis: https://www.wisbar.org/Pages/BasicLawye ... ame=Provis

I also found a couple cases he was involved with:

https://www.wiwd.uscourts.gov/opinions/ ... missal.pdf

https://www.wiscnews.com/juneaucountyst ... 03286.html

I note this, from the first case:
In addition, Torkelson seeks $10,000 from Provis to recover the costs associated with retaining his services.
Provis is not otherwise mentioned in the proceedings.

Karl has made a couple of drunk posts about pretend judge Anna in the last couple of days. He is trying to pick a sovcit fight with her but doesn't tag her. Anna probably doesn't know he is doing this cuz he is posting from Rachel's FB page.
Karl P. Koenigs
Post:
Anna von Reitz, I have many reasons to believe she is CONTROLLED OPPOSITION and apart of DHS Psy-Ops Division, is as bad as DHS "Q" Psy-Operators! Anything to prevent the States from implementing Tenth Amendment Law and Order upon Republicans and Democrats, and decimating The Deep State via State nullification of all usurped Powers, all SPENDING, ALL Income and Employer Taxes on people that are not 'delegated' under Article I Section 8 of The Constitution.
All We The People have to do is vote for State Legislators and Governor who pledge to sponsor and pass an exact facsimile of the Constitutional Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions and augment it with AN ARREST PROVISION to make it BINDING, by ARREST using the Silver Bracelets, Jail, prosecution, Jury Trial, and Sentencing to ENFORCE by Municipal, County and State Law Enforcement, all incremental State nullifications of ALL usurpations of Power, SPENDING, unlawful Income and Employer Taxes on people, IN PURUSANCE of Tenth Amendment Law and Order. Which, IN COMPLIANCE with the many SCOTUS rulings, will DOUBLE the vast majority of American family weekly paychecks, without so much as a raise or the printing of money out of thin air.
Anna talks ALL AROUND State enforcement of The Tenth Amendment Law, for DHS Psy-Ops distraction purposes. You could say it's sort of a Q thing. Q is literally five guys working out of a backroom of DHS Psy-Ops Division to ensure that We The People are swayed from voting for State Legislators and Governor who pledges to pass the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions to restore ALL POWERS, ALL SPENDING, and ALL Income and Employer Withholding Taxes back as are "reserved to the States respectively, or to the people" - Tenth Amendment Law and Order. The Tenth Amendment refers to the 'delegated' powers enumerated under Article I Section 8 of The Constitution. All other SPENDING / Power / Income & Employer Taxes are reserved to the States or to the people.
I looked at Anna's page - lots of crazy there but no responses to Karl as far as I can tell.

Kap'n Klueless seems to have missed the part where that whole nullification thingy was tried, oh 160 odd years ago, and just how badly it ended for the triers. Then again history and or reality aren't really Karl's thing.

So, the story here may be that Kaptain Karl found a lawyer who'll litigate his cases the way he wants them litigated. This Provis guy looks like he'll do whatever you want if you pay his excessive prices. Seriously, who says "My fee is going to be several thousand dollars" in their promotional materials?

I don't think the attorney's background will be any indicator. The only thing he can argue is the denial of Karl's Konstitutional argument (which led to his plea agreement). So either he has to argue Karl's crap, which is an instant loser since Wisconsin appeals court already tossed similar arguments, or he has to come up with something new, which he can't do at appeal.

The only other part is a technicality, but I am not sure what that would be. Maybe we will see if they guy is good at pulling a technicality out of his hat.

Question for Fierce Panda... does Wisconsin require an attorney on appeals? IIRC, some states do.
