There's so much psychological projection in everything Gavin writes, it's hardly worth pointing out.

I just want to know who the hell is paying $89 a month for a front-row ticket to this shitshow.
It is up to $91/month now from 22 "patrons."

$91 from 22 accounts makes $2002 a month. Several family members have several accounts each so Gav won't be humiliated that his family pays his costs.

Well, we learned what Gavin doesn't spend money on.

His socks, I mean. Which seem like a necessary purchase considering all the hiking he claims to do.
I don't see Gavin as being outdoorsy at all. I'm not especially, but I wear good hiking socks and shoes. Make a huge difference when trail gets muddy, or roots are trying to bash your toes in, or when it's hot, cold, or wet.

That makes a lot more sense.

I'd still love to know what 22 people are paying an average of $4.14 a month for a front-row ticket to this shitshow. They can't all be family.

I spend more than $4.14 a month playing pinball, but any amount of enabling Gavin is sad.
This bramble need not be traversed.

As it has been mentioned, Gavin’s developed a private Facebook group for expatriates and wannabe expats. Many of the folks who visit Gavin Facebook pages and praise him are having troubles in the U.S. and love the idea that they might find paradise in Mexico. It’s not for me to judge them. But I think Gavin is doing them a disservice by floating the idea that Mexico is the answer to their problems.

Years ago detaxers, freemen and sovcits used to float the idea that they could live way out in rural America and get out of the way out of government. The problem many had was that they couldn’t stomach usually unobjectionable government rules like getting fishing licenses, obtaining car tags, or paying to use government land.

What Gavin is selling is just a variant of that old line. Essentially he’s pushing Mexico as a paradise, when in fact it is merely a nearly failed state often unable to perform the fundamental functions of government.. . .the very things to which Gavin objects.

I think the $89 per month is his total take through Patreon, not from just one individual. Some may be giving $1 per month, others $5, and others may be giving $10.

That's nothing to sniff at. According to Gavin's you can buy half of Mexico for $89.

Likewise freemen in the early 2000s never got much support from the guru class when it came to living way out in the woods. My perception was that the few freemen who were successful at living off the grid already had the needed skills and temperament before they met the guru in question.

Gavin's little travel logs really aren't very helpful since he fills them up with false praise of Mexico and cheap shots at the U.S.. Gavin doesn't help the viewer with the language (he can barely speak enough Spanish to order food), culture or commerce.

I guess the private Facebook group could get into some helpful stuff. But I suspect the content will be 90% bitch and moan.

 I am surprised that anyone would pay even $1 per month for his drivel. There are plenty of sources of verifiable information about travel to Mexico and I would bet there are more serious sources of information for living as an expat in Mexico from people who are doing it well.

I often wondered why anyone would pay to watch Gavin. Watching Gavin's fan club reminds me of Jerry Springer type audience.

He does have a unique Deliverancenesque
meltdown story line going that would be difficult to find anyone else as off the wall to do for entertainment purposes.

What a disingenuous, manipulative little shit. When it served Seim to make out Mexicans to be less human he did just that. When he ran for Congress his dehumanization of Mexicans and central americans was on clear display with his claim that they cross the U.S. border just to get welfare.

I guess it never occurred to Gavin that some of the folks listening to his unchristian rant would later use the same hateful thoughts to justify separating families at the border and putting the kids in dog pens.

From Gavin's hyper Facebook page:

Accuse me, Gavin, but who is the "we" you are referring to?

You have never freed anyone.

You didn't have one thing to do with Philadelphia's Conviction Integrity Unit, which freed Terrance Lewis.

You have never had one single thing to do with any exoneration or innocence organization, despite there being at least three serving Washington state.

You have never given a dime, or a minute, or lifted a finger to help an accused individual, like Lewis, get competent counsel.

You have, however, given insane legal advice to others and have even managed to help get jailed people in deeper trouble by anonymously threatening their jailers.

Of course, we all recall you being clueless about what to do in the case of the teenaged girl in Washington state who was being tried on Facebook by the local cops. You couldn't realize that she needed a decent lawyer, rather than a wacko Facebook advocate!

Go surf the web for the world's imperfections. . . then do nothing about them, Puss Cake.
