.Sheriff Joe Arpaio's investigation into Obama's eligibility strongly suggests the long form birth certificate posted on the White House website is a forgery. Just because you disagree with him, it doesn't mean his findings aren't valid.

Arpaio has presented NO evidence to support his beliefs and in fact some of the so called evidence of forgery had to be quietly dropped. Of course, if he had any real findings, he would and should have presented them but he seems to understand that the facts amount to nothing. One of the prosecutors in Arizona looked at the 'evidence' and refused to file indictments because of the lack of evidence and the weakness of the claims.

Are you aware that the foundation of the clown case posse was totally demolished when it was discovered that the artifacts which had been argued to be signs of forgery could be simply explained by a copying process?

I doubt that you are even aware of these facts.

Meaning he looks at Russia Today like any patriotic American.

Well, to be fair, he could also be looking at Canada Free Press.

Yes, I was. Why is it so difficult for so many people here to engage in civil debate without resorting to juvenile name-calling and personal attacks? And why do you gets so upset when someone responds in kind?

Actually, I am more interested in something different. It is almost exactly one year since you left us last.

What has changed in the intervening 12 months? Has the "Posse" offered any new revelations? Has any new "evidence" been uncovered? Has any progress been made in Congress? In the Courts? Are the "announcements" by Gallups, or Zullo, or Gillar in any way distinguishable from the announcements they were making when you were here a year ago?

You have come back... why?

I watch, listen to, and read media from across the politcal spectrum and around the world everyday. I take the info I obtain and form my own opinions. I don't need direction from anyone. Especially any cable news outlet or talk show host. Can you name some examples of the types of media you watch, listen and read on a daily basis?

Haha Darren Pope this is the same guy who was pushing the Mia Pope nonsense a while back. When made to look foolish he started removing comments and re-edited some of his articles without posting a retraction.

Hmm.. Darren Pope is the guy who wrote that other article on Media as well. Most curious.

If I was a suspicious guy, I'd be thinking he was trying to drive traffic to his own articles.

What has changed in the intervening 12 months? <SNIP>1. Orly Taitz, the Queen of the Birthers, no longer has the World's Eligibility web site (or whatever it used to be). It is now "Review of Politics, Economics, Constitution, Law and World Affairs by Attorney and Doctor Orly Taitz"ETA: and it appears she has not been filing Birther Lawsuits2. Birther Report is a mixture of Gerbil abuse and Sandy Hook Hoax.3. Free Republic has very few "Natural Born Citizen" topics or comments.http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/natural ... izen/index

Shouldn't this thread be titled, "Re: Mark Steyn: old, tired, debunked for years birther claptrap regarding the President?"

Y'know, in the interest of Journalistic integrity?

There are no 'new' questions. That's the thing. It's the same, old nonsense.

When birfers decide to do something, maybe I'll be interested again. But nothing new has happened.

Oh, there are promises. Mikey Zullo has been promising for years already.

But... crickets.

And it's boring.

Since when did anything published in the Examiner qualify as journalism? Did I miss something?

Yeah, my experience with the Examiner is that the authors are bunch of thin skinned conservative nobodies who either block or delete comments that dispute their articles.

Yep I've experienced that. Mr. Pope lacks journalistic ethics.

For an example of that: http://www.examiner.com/article/obama-a ... te-scandal

Notice what's missing? The comments section. It was pointed out to him that his lie about Nixon's approval rating in the middle of watergate was lower than Obama's at the time instead of printing a retraction he removed the comments. The watergate story broke in January 73 when 7 of the conspirators were convicted for the watergate breakin. Nixon resigned in August of 74. This means there were about 19 months from then until his resignation. The "halfway point" would have been around 9 and a half months in which would have been October of 73 when Nixon's approval rating was at 27%. Pope had this pointed out to him and instead of admitting he was wrong changed the article but kept the headline in. He also took the coward's way out on the mia pope article when he removed all comments there as well

http://www.examiner.com/article/childho ... nformation

So what have we learned? Mr. Pope isn't a journalist and has to use multiple aliases to try to get attention to his POS articles.

A free an unbiased press is essential to liberty.

Totally wrong. In fact, an unbiased press becomes a uniform press. Let them be biased and be known for it and true information becomes available. At the moment we have plenty of examples of organizations pretending to be fair and unbiased in name only.

That is a significant risk to liberty.
