Oh my. Birfers will be all over this video. They will analyze every single frame like it's the Zapruder film. And their analysis will confirm everything they already know, except for the parts that don't, which will be irrefutable evidence that the guy who made the video is part of the Great Usurpation.

Those GoPro cameras have proven quite useful as of late. I have no doubt this video will be referenced in the final NTSB report, and elsewhere the French police have used footage from Michael Schumacher's helmet camera to determine how his accident happened.

Not sure if you realize it or not, but it does snow regularly in Hawaii. Mauna Kea on the big island is very high. My memory is a little vague right now, but we were there in the summer and had considered going up Mauna Kea (is there an observatory at the top or something? I can't remember why we wanted to go) and people warned us that it would be cold at night at the top - even though it was July.

The top of Haleakala on Maui, which is available to tourists, is often [link]frigid,http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?zoneid=HIZ022[/link]. The climb from Upcountry is awesome, but you have to watch for the bicyclists who have been vanned to the top, only to ride bikes brought for them back down. (Bikes with huge brakes.) Once you get through the cloud cover you could swear it's going to be stormy when you get down, but after you descend to around 4000 feet it's another perfect day in paradise.

Here's a picture I took last year:https://scontent-a-pao.xx.fbcdn.net/hph ... _n.jpgI've seen some wonderful weather reports out here during the winter - for example, a thunderstorm warning for all islands that is also a winter storm warning for Maui and Big Island peaks over 10,000 feet.

I've been just lurking recently at FB because the death of Dr Fuddy has just sickened me too much to read most of the Birther kukae for a while. They have made me laugh for years but not now & I didn't want to participate. I so hope that this brave man on the flight won't get harassed. Birthers are just so, so sick. I wish he wouldn't have posted this, for his sake. For the good of the rest of humanity though, he has helped the NTSB learn some things.I was a transport nurse at Kapiolani in the 80's flying in Cessna air ambulances. I still haven't been able to watch the full video of them in the water. Every day, so many times, there are many great people saving lives through medical air transport...even in Birther-friendly places like Texas. Orly & the Birthers have seen it just fine to harass the parents of dead babies & now they move on to harassing the family of Dr Fuddy, all for her ego in Orly's case, & all for their nutty beliefs for the others. We've all read horrible stuff about our First Family but the Obamas knew what they were getting into when he ran for President & they have the resources to handle it. The folks who have tangential connections to the Obamas aren't so lucky. I realize that it is easier to just ignore idiots like Orly but, really, she should be made to pay in some way.If Orly starts harassing the survivors, might there be some Legal Eagles from FB who might contact the survivors & offer assistance? She should me sued for harassment.

But damn, did I feel strangely like the stupid haole tourist that I obviously was... :-({|=

The Birthers are disgusting but I felt a little bit better about this after getting a nice thank you letter about the donation I sent to the Hawaiian Humane Society in Dr Fuddy's memory. This FB community has been so generous to the children in Hawaii. I also urge you all to donate to the Humane Society chapters in your own community.

Agreed Stern. The local Humane Society chapters are great & I've had some beloved pets I got through them for decades. I am too busy with my work right now but enjoy 2 "grand-dogs" that were adopted. When I retire I will be back there to adopt a cat.

Luckily, it was still warm enough, but we did encounter some snow. (and of course, were were wearing only Mesh motorcycle jackets and jeans)
