I was perusing HackerFactor to see if Dr. Krawetz had posted anything of interest recently, and discovered his new analytical tool [link]FotoForensics,http://fotoforensics.com/[/link]. This tool analyzes photos to detect areas of manipulation, read the metadata, and estimates JPG quality. Anyone want to take a crack at the hi-res AP jpg of the LFBC? The site only does .jpeg and .png files, and has extensive tutorials.

OK, if I read the tutorial on the ELA,(Error Level Analysis) this image [/break1]com/analysis.php?id=250283822cdd393081515111f9730255a83ca8d0.556987]http://fotoforensics.com/analysis.php?i ... 8d0.556987is genuine. or, at least hasn't been resaved or modified. the ELA would show that. In my expert opinion, it's genuine.

Wasn't sure where to put this but this thread seemed close enoughA Far-Right South African Party Is Spreading A Conspiracy Theory About The Flags On Dylann Roof’s JacketNo false flag here.http://www.buzzfeed.com/craigsilverman/ ... RE1b“Every instance of the altered/Obama patch jacket is at a lower quality thanthe original picture [of Roof with the two flags],” Dr. Krawertz told BuzzFeed News. “I have seen no instances of a high quality or large version of the altered patch image.”Dr. Krawertz said he has however seen high resolution versions of other photos of Roof in the jacket. These predate the Obama image and show that the Rhodesia and Apartheid-era South Africa badges were on his jacket.Dr. Krawertz said the Obama jacket conspiracy fits a pattern he sees time and again when it comes to major events and disasters.“Basically, whenever there is a major disaster, there are conspiracies,” he said. “With horrible events come horrible people altering pictures to propagate horrible conspiracies.”
