I was happy to see the return of the ever popular "Fatal exception error" a couple of hours ago. I'd missed it.

Interesting quirk. When I try to reply to a PM, I get an ad for IPS software. Yeah, that's gonna work.

Last thing I saw before we went offline again was that I had successfully "upgraded" the IPS software again.

A little faster, but that's happened before.  It's probably one of the routine ups and downs.

It works with Microsoft Edge now.  Big hairy deal.  All my other sites always did work with Edge.  Edge doesn't impress me at all right now, but it goes to show how little attention IPS has paid to browser compatibility.

Zeke, in this case I'd sooner blame Microsoft than IPS. Most of the web sites I develop use "Basic Authentication". It's the oldest and most common of the web authentication standards. I installed the Windows 10 preview about a month ago, and Edge didn't support basic authentication (it finally does now). And until Edge has a stable and standards-compatible * release, I doubt many developers are going to try to make their sites Edge compatible.* mosty standards compatible, that is. There are a bunch of things I have to do to work around nonconforming features of Internet Explorer.

One of the new "features" is that if you make two successive replys at the end of a thread now, it automatically merges them.

Bump up?

--- apparently no bump up.  If you were the last poster in a thread. You can't bump it up.

I couldn't get on the board for most of the day and I was beginning to think it was the tunnel where we would come out the other end.  It took 15-20 minutes to sign in and I have already lost almost all my posts. I baked two pans of from scratch banana-pecan biscotti  while I was waiting to get on.

I baked two pans of from scratch banana-pecan biscotti  while I was waiting to get on.Share?  Almost gone 'cause I been busy sharing.  Some for the nice neighbors who fed me when I was so sick and couldn't get out, and some for their dog walker, Jose, whom they asked  to walk my doggies on the days I couldn't.  And what's left is reserved for our dear feral cat feeder and homeless  Zimbabwaean artist who camps by the RR tracks.  He can only eat soft things because he has no teeth.  So, the ones  I saved for him are not baked but once. His last tooth is a sweet tooth.  He has the most beautiful penmanship I have seen for many years.  His thank you notes are always a delight written in delicate calligraphy with little drawings .But I can always make more while waiting for the big reboot back to our little Isle of the Fogbow.  When we get there, I will post pictures of the fogbow around the full midsummer moon as seen from the top of Google Hill.

I hate this software. Just when we need it it is crawling on all fours.
