Let's Have a Virtual Meetup!

Does somebody have GoToMeeting capacity or a similar app? We could have an international meetup.

No sneezing allowed.

We’re using Microsoft Teams for work meetings and I just signed up for Zoom for virtual dance practices. I’d love a virtual meetup with Fogbowers!

Let's ask the Poor Ol Rooster to see what can be done. I think between re-building his house and the electric wiring in it he's got loads of time.

I just had a cocktail hour with my best friend over Zoom the other day.

In preparation for making a personal appearance of my actual face, today I crashed my bike a little and scraped my forehead. Ol' Wifehorn says I'm gonna have a shiner. Even worser, I banged my shoulder pretty good, which hurts a lot now and will be a serious problem on Monday. How am I going to punch and kick my way to happiness?

Ol' Wifehorn: "You're not." :fingerwag:

'Course, my staff includes a makeup artist for just such an occasion.

I installed Zoom the other day but I don't know how to use it. Lemme look at that, but first I need some time to feel sorry for myself and mope around the house.
For more information, read it again.

Y'all might have to look at my cat sleeping if I join in. There is very little I dislike more than having photos taken or being on camera.

I would think that there's some way to use a photo or an avatar or some other option for those of us who are camera shy.

Update your apps.

Zoom Removes Code That Sends Data to Facebook
The change comes after Motherboard found the Zoom iOS app was sending analytics information to Facebook when users opened the app.

One of my cats is laying on my shoulder as I type this. But the moment a camera comes on, she senses it and bolts. :(

Worst case just put a piece of tape over the camera.

Bless you, TRL.

My only problem is I don't have a camera on my desktop or laptop. So when we have our meetup I may have to try to figure out how to get my iPhone synced in.

Or, someone can just insert my avatar. I'm a little older now.

Zoom offers the choice of audio, video or both I think.

I haven't used Zoom, but I'm sure I can figure it out. I've used Google Hangouts for meeting and interviews before, and now we use WebEx for everything. Whatever the boogle chooses, I'll join in.

Also too and ‘specially with this group, we will need protocol or ground rules or sumpin’ so we don’t all talk or be silent at once.

I’m doing a zoom class tomorrow. I’ll ask the teacher, who hosts 30 sometimes, for tips.

Maybe we can do the first one in our jammies so suranis feels at ease. ;)

My schedule is... ( checks calendar) wide open.
