Thank you - I'd never heard of it before. I know I should have googled it but the cold destroyed my will to do anything more than (attempt to) stay warm.

Did Firefox ditch the share option with Quantum? I cant't seem to find it. I thought that was actually useful.

Haven't found a workaround on Twitter embeds on Firefox other than if you click on the bird or box, it takes you to the tweet. Mostly I'm using Chrome now and it works but I like Firefox better.
Thank you for checking it out Foggy, hope you're feeling better! For your tea

Re: Please Report Problems Here
For some reason, certain posters' posts are always blank for me. For example, some of Kendra's are completely blank, and others have some posting, but a huge empty space as if there is something cut and pasted into the post that I can't see. If I'm blocked or something, my feelings aren't hurt - I respect the right of others to choose who sees their posts. But if its some sort of malfunction, I'd love to fix it. Thanks!
Re: Please Report Problems Here
Many of the issues with things not displaying or displaying correctly are often the result of browser settings or add-ons that are blocking those elements from being displayed. One way to test is to use private browsing or an incognito window to log into TFB and see how it looks.
I've had the Twitter fussiness in the past with a couple of different browsers, so I switched to Opera browser for reading TFB. I'm running it without any add-ons or extensions and for the most part everything displays fine. The exception is Amazon links, which don't appear, but IIRC Foggy said that had something to do with how he's configured the forum to block embedded ads (I may've gotten that totally wrong, so don't take it as gospel.)

Re: Please Report Problems Here
I just tried putting up shots of our compound railings in the Woodworkers thread. It kept rejecting one of them, even though both were small. I erased and started over. Changed their names. Took out spaces in their names. Nada.
Now the post shows one picture, and then says that picture isn't available. The same picture. Weird.
Update: converting them to .png didn't help. It will take one, but not both pictures. At any size.

Follow-up on the railings:
Test pieces in Basswood. To test-feed and set up shaper cuts. Also to take to the site to make sure the geometry worked out.
It did. Whew!
Now to make the real ones in Mahogany.
OK. I give up.

And it all fit.

The treads and risers, by the way, are recycled Longleaf Pine from century-old 12" x 18" factory beams.

Closest I've found so far is don't use preview mode, the autosave + preview seems to detach images. After you attach the photos, go straight to post, don't use preview, that mostly works.

There's still something between autosave and preview mode but it can be worked around.
Foggy, I have a vitally important technical question for you. Next Tuesday, IHOP is giving away FREE PANCAKES to everybody. The question is: For just that day, can true bills and indictments be issued at IHOP instead of Denny's? How about if its a booth at IHOP? I mean, it does say "Pancakes with a Purpose" so what else could that mean? I've been really worried about this (like Realist, almost panicked).
And don't miss out on those pancakes!

Free stack of pancakes for National Pancake Day
Susan Selasky, Detroit Free Press Food Writer Published 6:00 a.m. ET Feb. 22, 2018
On Tuesday, IHOP restaurants will celebrate National Pancake Day with a giveaway.
From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can get a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes at participating restaurants nationwide. In return, diners are invited to make donations to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. In Detroit, donations will benefit Children's Miracle Network programs at Beaumont Children's Hospital.
The fund-raiser was started in 2006 and has since raised nearly $30 million for pediatric patient needs across the U.S. At Beaumont Children’s, more than 200,000 children are treated annually.
To find a location or to donate online, go to www.ihoppancakeday.com.

How did juuuus get into this?
OK so If we bring our thumbprint pad and a packet of Au Jus, we're good?
Starting to feel better about this, still a bit panicked but thank you Realist!

Re: Please Report Problems Here
My main computer died, shortly after I did my Sunday Fogbow chores - deleting old log entries, zapping Russian bots (fewer this week, anti-bot measures are working OK), repairing/optimizing the database, backups, etc.
It's a problem.
Tried to start MS Word, it didn't start up a couple times. Rebooted the computer, and ... and ... and it can't find my mousie or my keyboard, so I can't log in. Tried other keyboards, other mousies, repair CDs, removing all peripherals (I got a lot of peripherals). Tried everything I know, but I can't get it to run properly. I haz a big sad, this has been a wonderful workhorse, but it is probably more than 5 years old.
I hope I don't have to purchase a new one. That would suck.
SECOND PROBLEM
Our former member Gatsby fell down a "long" flight of stairs last night and is really banged up. He doesn't have broken bones, he says, but is worried about internal damage. On the Facebook, all his people are telling him to go get checked out. If I don't report more, it means he's OK, or at least he's gonna get through it.
That's a problem, too also.
