RVInit is right, if you have 3 posts you can start a new thread. This one would require a lot of work and a tremendous amount of self-discipline by everyone. Would it include events in all 57 states? What happens if you post an event in, say, Raleigh? I think about 5 people here live close enough to attend. But we'd have to discuss the event in a separate thread, or it would clutter up the thing and crowd out the events in East Armpit, NJ.
I don't know how anyone can find time to post all the events nationwide, but if you can, go for it.
Perhaps if pipistrelle is prepared to do the "clean up in aisle 3" work, you could give her some limited privileges to manage that thread or a little group of threads, if that's possible? Whenever someone creates a thread for "just stuff, no comments, no threadjacks" it gets polluted despite that, unless the thread is actually locked against casual posters. Which might defeat the object. But if pipi has a mop and bucket ...?
(Apologies if I have pipi's sex misaligned, I'm working on hunch!)
You know that old saying about ASSUME.
I'm not sure I want to do any work. I have a day job.
It doesn't have to be everything happening everywhere, and maybe events are unrealistic except in the larger cities. I'd just like one place where you can post/read actions that you can take, like the comments on the theft of national monuments, rules, regs, etc. Some of it probably falls under Indivisible, though, so maybe it's just a bad idea. But I really wanted y'all to comment on the monuments. (As an aside, hunters and sportsmen weren't showing the love to Zinke.)
I like talk as much as the next (gender non-specific) person, but I also like to do what I can to let our "representatives" know about who they're representating.
