Concord Coach has suspended all bus service. That’s how we visit FEMA Camp 626, AKA the Apocalypse Compound. So even if we wanted to leave our condo (which we don’t) to escape the megalopolis that is Portland (which we don’t), we couldn’t take the bus.

13 new cases, up to 155 positives. 3394 negative tests.

That's a fairly obscene graph. Boosted the stock market, though.

UK
Coronavirus: One million Britons are ordered to catch the next flight home
Catherine Philp, Diplomatic Correspondent
Tuesday March 24 2020, 9.00am GMT, The Times

As many as one million Britons travelling abroad have been told to return to the UK immediately amid fears that ways of getting home are narrowing.

Dominic Raab, the foreign secretary, urged British travellers and holidaymakers to return home while commercial flights remain available. The coronavirus outbreak has led to fresh restrictions this week, including border closures and airlines ceasing flights.

“We are strongly urging UK travellers overseas to return home now while there are still commercial routes to do so,” he said. “Around the world, more airlines are suspending flights and more airports are closing, some without notice . . . If you are on holiday abroad, the time to come home is now while you still can.”

Um, guess the MAGA crowd should totally go to that brunch, pack the churches, and ignore the hoax -- but it's vital to own the libs and not get anywhere near them, not even places they go. That will show those libs. First event totally needs to be an IMPOTUS RALLY, tens of thousands with the stage platform elevated in the center of the audience. It'll work out great.

IMPOTUS leaned really hard on NFL owners to not postpone the draft. Supposedly they're moving forward (end of April). Good luck with that.

They are planning to go ahead with the draft as planned and Roger Goodell warned the teams to keep their yaps shut about it.

Breaking: LA County will immediately close all beaches to the public due to risks of people spreading Covid-19. County Supervisor Janice Hahn cites the large crowds that flocked to the beaches last weekend as a reason for the closures.

Our beaches are (finally) closed. We have the webcam up on the tv from the Lani Kai in Ft. Myers Beach. It's so strange to see not a single soul on the sand. It almost looks like a still photo until you notice the water moving (it's the gulf, we don't have waves, not big ones anyway).

For those curious (and those looking for distractions, as am I) ... Disneyland has been closed ONLY, until now, on three ocassions: The assassination of JFK, 9/11 and the Northridge Earthquake.
Do you have similar stats for Disney World Orlando? Much larger than Disneyland. They are closing Sunday through the end of the month.
Only know about Disneyland since it's near and dear to my heart. I first visited when the hotel opened in the Fall of 1955, we stayed for 3 nights, Mom, Dad, 3 of 4 kids. Still love going there. :lovestruck:

4 passengers dead aboard cruise ship anchored off Panama

https://apnews.com/218975527c8b46b200f6 ... ce=Twitter
Four passengers have died aboard a cruise ship now anchored off the coast of Panama and two people aboard the ship have tested positive for the coronavirus, the cruise line said Friday, with hundreds of passengers unsure how long they will remain at sea.

Holland America Line said in a post on its Facebook page that more than 130 people aboard the Zaandam had reported flu-like symptoms.

:snippity:

The ship, which had been turned away from other ports and now is being denied passage through the Panama Canal, was receiving medical supplies and medical personnel from another Holland America ship, the Rotterdam, and the company planned to begin transferring healthy passengers to that ship.

“Priority for the first guests to transfer will be given to those on Zaandam with inside staterooms and who are over 70,” the statement said. There are 1,243 guests and 586 crew on board the Zaandam.
