Haven't a lot of these issues been discussed in 10 debates? It's one thing to come together and unite and discuss issues, to us it's quite another to make it accusatory ("what you gonna do?"). I'm also seeing tons of tweets like this -- they don't want answers, they want their own way or to take their toys home (again?). Sorry P0rtia, it just was irritating to see how it was presented; if it was "let's use this debate to come together and discuss issues" that would have been a lot more helpful than "We. Fight. On." and "What are you gonna do". Sorry, maybe overreacted.

I saw this today, which sums up my response to that
It's going to be hard to earn the votes of Sanders supporters.
Not even Sanders could do it.

Totally agree DrIrvingFinegarten.

We've tried to explain that people's candidates lose all the time but so many of Bernie's ideas have been incorporated already. Just because your candidate lost is no reason to not support the nominee. But the Bernie supporters we're seeing on Twitter don't care. We're done with engaging with them... hopefully over the next months they realize that ANYONE would be better than IMPOTUS. Wishing they will work that out on their own, but the focus needs to be on voters who don't pout and fail to recognize reality.

In 2016 they all swore that Hillary and the DNC had cheated and stolen the primaries from Bernie.

This time around they can't even make that argument, so they're just throwing tantrums like a two year old.

The economy was worse under Obama? That's fucking delusional bullshit from a person with ZERO understanding of economics. :madguy:

Our economy added 14 million jobs while Obama was president. Trump has now flushed our economy down the toilet.

Trolls and idiots.

I have never met anyone in real life who thinks that way. And everyone I know would prefer Bernie to Biden. And all of them will happily vote for Biden. Work for Biden. Pull for Biden.

Trolls. Much louder than actual people.

I shouldn't have looked. So apparently the DNC and Biden put voters in danger while St. Bernie urged voters to not go to the polls. So now Biden and Perez are murderers. Did I get that right?

I haven't looked at my FB for weeks. Maybe I'll see if any Bros are in my timeline. Or maybe not.

Credit where credit might be due ...

If Ol' Handsome Joe does indeed pick Kamala for VP, Sterngard was suggesting that combination since May 1, 2019.

From today's NYT about Bernie's future in the nomination race:
Mr. Sanders reacted testily on Wednesday when asked about his plans, suggesting his sole focus should be on the virus.

“I’m dealing with a fucking global crisis,” he said, addressing reporters at the capitol. “You know, we’re dealing with it and you’re asking me these questions.”

“Right now, I’m trying to do my best to make sure that we don’t have an economic meltdown and that people don’t die,’’ he added. “Is that enough for you to keep me busy for today?”

Oh, I know a guy here who thinks exactly like that.

I used to work with a guy who is like that. He grew up in Vermont, so I guess his devotion to Sanders is understandable. In 2016, everything from him about Clinton was "Blah, blah, blah, warhawk..." "Blah, blah, blah, Wall Street..." "Blah, blah, blah, they gave her debate questions in advance..." I tried to tell him it didn't matter at that point, but he wasn't having any of it. He said the DNC gave him the finger.

I pointed out that the DNC adopted 80 percent of Sanders' platform and asked him how much would have been enough, 85 percent? 90 percent? 95? or did it have to be 100?

"Why couldn't they just nominate Bernie," he asked.

I told him it doesn't work that way. Clinton received more votes than Sanders, 40 million more, in the primary. The DNC couldn't just toss that out and go with the guy who came in second.

He called that circular logic.

Biden plans shadow coronavirus briefings
The ex-veep said they’re necessary to address false and misleading statements from the president.

Joe Biden is planning a regular shadow briefing on coronavirus to start as early as Monday to show how he would handle the crisis and address what he calls the lies and failures of President Trump.

Biden gave a preview of what’s to come in a conference call with reporters Friday, where he listed a litany of false and misleading statements from Trump, who has been holding regular White House press conferences concerning coronavirus preparedness and response that have been broadcast live on all major networks.
