I hate to disappoint y'all, but it looks like the final winners are Alice and Asta.

Why yes, Asta is a dog's name. A very famous and clever dog from detective fiction.

That's why I like it. Where ol' Wifehorn got Alice I have no clue.
Love.

AND OBVIOUSLY FROM WONDERLAND!

We're going through a bunch of formulations for our Athena -- and some of them are grainfree, because that's what's available, which makes me more nervous about the boutique nonsense. She is allergic to some somethings. We've discovered that one of the somethings is soy, which is relatively easy to ...

OK, next question: In my limited experience, ducks can fly. What keeps them from leaving the farm? Especially with two farms right across the river from each other. If'n I was a boy duck, I'd definitely be over there checking out the chicks girly ducks on the other side of the river. Duck farmers c...

Ducks are jerks. They do what they want. I have chased my sister's ducks home MANY TIMES. They laugh and then go back to the swamp or whatever. (Unlike chickens, they also don't put themselves to bed at night AND they don't necessarily stay put, and think foxes are a myth. Also they are gross. Also ...

I am hoping for some recommendations for winter dog booties for a mid-size doogie. Cowboy is coming from FL to OH. He is a very short-haired pit mix rescue. It is freaking cold here and I think I should get him some boots to protect his little paws. There are gazillions of them on the webz. Anyone ...

Yet because of overweening ambition, he chose to run for governor. Northam put his own egotistical needs above the Democratic party ...

A better question is what has he been doing the last 35 years. As you know, I'm 66 years old. Thirty five years ago, I was 31 (Foghorn Math©). But I knew when I was 15 that it was racist to wear blackface. And part of wearing blackface is making fun of African Americans - pretending that they're ig...

Didn't Game of Thrones already register a formal complaint about this ? :fingerwag: I think I heard something about that. I hope they push this. They'll probably lose if they do. And them winning would actually have much worse effects for the rest of us than a loss. Yes, and also it's kind of an in...

I got a copy of George R.R. Martin's "fire and Blood" for Christmas. As a good spouse, I'm trying to read it. But I find it to be a huge disappointment. It's all in third person expository style that gets boring as hell after a while. It's like the worst of Tolkien. No dialog, no character developm...

Reputation management might be a cheaper and easier option at this point. I had a family member recently work at a PR firm, and it was one of the things they (the firm) did. I don't know how it works myself, but it's possibly something to look at. I mean, in addition to other wiser legal heads' comm...
