Re: What are you watching on TV these days?

I tried the first episode of Goliath (circa 2016) and turned it off in disgust near the end of the first episode when one of the senior lawyers at the big firm defending the defense contractor suggested that when an anticipated wrongful death case was filed the defense contractor should counter sue ...

Re: Michael Avenatti

Avenatti near as I can tell truly lives in a fantasy world where he is a winner, the ultimate winner, a sex god, and is an unbeatable attorney. There is no place in his universe for him to be or remain in jail. I 'm curious about what the lies are he is telling himself right now about the NY convic...

Re: Michael Avenatti

I would not be able to bear the ignominy, shame or even the boredom of more than a decade in prison. (Of course, I am a normal person and I don't break the laws; except the speed limit laws like everyone else.) If I were Avenatti, having been denied the escape route to Italy, I would probably want t...

Re: Michael Avenatti

The State Bar judge hearing Avenatti's involuntary enrollment case suggested after the last hearing was cut short by Avenatti's arrest that the case be decided on the evidence of the hearing, even though the case was not completed. The State Bar liked that idea in a recent filing, but we hadn't hear...

Re: Gavin Seim

I think a report to the proper authorities in Mexico should indicate that Seim operates a business, which is his YouTube channel. And he makes money doing so. The purpose of the YouTube channel is to show him harassing police officers -- in this case Mexican police officers -- who are trying to do t...

Re: Michael Avenatti

So does G.W. Law still have a Michael Avenatti scholarship?

I find it ironic that the professor of Avenatti's who gushed the most about him was Jonathan Turley. Turley should be the Ronald (McDonald) Rotunda Professor of Ethical Lapses at G.W.

Re: Michael Avenatti

Popehat is being wonderfully petty. I'm enjoying every minute of it. At the same time, I'll still admit to some surprise. I thought - and said - that Avenatti was unethical, but that was based on how clearly he was taking actions that were more likely to benefit him than his clients. It raised red ...

Re: John Darash/Vidurek and the National LIberty Alliance

It looks as if he filed his SCOTUS petition for a writ of certiorari in the court of appeals. This guy is really an idiot. I wonder how many people still send him money. They have to be dumber than he is, which means they are far to the left on the IQ bell curve.

Re: Michael Avenatti

I feel vindicated. I knew from the first moment I learned of this fraudster that he was not what he seemed to be. And I took a lot of shit here for it, too.

Smackdown Friday. Now let's get convictions against Harvey Weinstein and it will be an OK week.

Re: USA v Roger J. Stone, Jr., USDC-DC, Obstruction, False Statements, Witness Tampering

Re: Michael Avenatti

I'd like a Smackdown Wednesday.

Whether found guilty or not (I think he'll be convicted on at least one charge), he's going to stay in jail pending the Los Angeles trial and trial #2 in SDNY when the new judge gets up to speed.
