Suspended.
They could run a two round playoff using the current records starting in May.

Except from the UK. Like getting from the continent to London is all that hard. This is by far the least competent and least moral administration in US history.

Re: Stock Market

Investors are irrational.

Computer programs that control much of the buying and selling are intensely irrational, being poorly written and mostly ran unattended.

Re: Did Alabama Just Murder Nathan Woods?

But shouldn't it matter if the accused actually did something? Just showing up is enough to warrant killing them? I personally don't think so.

Re: Did Alabama Just Murder Nathan Woods?

I do not think Woods was an angel, or "framed" for anything, but I do believe Alabama's SC and the USSC allowed the state to murder him. Individuals like Bundy or Gacey, those types they earned their consequences, but accomplices? No, taking their lives serves no purpose.

2 Jurors Voted to Spare Nathaniel Woods’s Life. Alabama Executed Him. NY Times, Rick Rojas Instead, his supporters claimed that Mr. Woods had been sent to death row based on a case rife with flaws as well as a practice in capital punishment cases that had been abandoned by every state but Alabama, ...

Again, there's the contract incentives that the cheating definitely and with malice were violated. If they're not obnoxiously stupid those involved that knew that players have monetary incentives in their contracts. It's absurd to assume they didn't know that by cheating they would materially affect...

(1) The courts shouldn't get involved. (2) The tie to California isn't immediately apparent. He was playing for a Canadian team, and the game was presumably in Texas. (3) Assuming Texas law applies (as the law of the site of the tort), the interference case is frivolous. Texas law requires a willfu...

Re: Houston, They Have Created A Problem.

Most likely, from the current publicly available information. This could go class action, as there's over a dozen players I've seen that have been adversely affected by results vs the Astros in the past 3-4 years.

Houston, They Have Created A Problem.

Ya, it's just sportsball stuff, but a major league baseball player has filed a lawsuit seeking redress for the cheating by the Houston Astros who won a World Series by actively cheating. Here's an ESPN article (ESPN News Services), in part: On Monday, he fired back, filing a civil lawsuit in Los Ang...

Re: Trump Tax cuts reviewed

My daughter makes $11,000~ a year, a mix of medical conditions making high wages mostly impossible. Over the past 3-5 years she's received a tax return of around $3,000, a boon for someone on the fringe. This year it's $370.

I'm not impressed with trickle down "economics", the raper of the poor.

It's not. The US Senate had the chance to sway the end game and they abdicated their morals and voted to screw every regular American.

Yes, depressing to hear oneself say, "I want to go home", when you are home. It just doesn't feel right-- like it is supposed to be something that is can't be anymore. On the corporate greed angle... I am working on phrasing to get a large for-profit dialysis clinic chain to collaborate on a projec...

Re: What Happened?

Many years ago, I realized that the US was failing. I was in a World History honors program and had a dual major in Economic Geography. It was very depressing. And then I had a dream. I don't think dreams are magical. I think our brains sort out data while we sleep, and data stacks and falls into p...

Oh no, moscow mitch made this a foregone conclusion. I knew that when the House presented the charges. I've written about this elsewhere on Fogbow.

And now we get to witness the end of the "Founding Fathers" vision. The opposition party is so inept they can't count votes in an informal caucus. The US Senate has abdicated morality. I really really believe that the actual end started when Eisenhower was ignored: ... As we peer into society's futu...

I loathe him and all he stands for and think the world will be a little less malign when he is gone, but I wouldn't wish lung cancer on anyone. I wouldn't wish this on anybody, not even somebody I despise as much as I do him. Stay classy people.
I'd like to, but I don't think that traitors deserve it. I was shot at on 5 continents for this country, this fat fark couldn't be bothered to serve at all and made millions lying on national radio.

I think I will leave the rest of it unsaid. It would get ugly.

Sigh.

Re: Hijack this thread

Yes, indeed, we Minnesotans like Canada best ('cuz of the resemblance). Michigan probably liked Canada the most, until Detroit got it's own casinos and the metro folks didn't have to run to Windsor. I suspect the Yoopers probably also like Canada the most, likely more than Michigan. As an Ohioan, I...
