Re: Rest in Peace

How about less sad, and more good.

The University of Connecticut women's basketball team, one of the best in history (a record of 1,154-301 all time), played the US National team tonight. Ms Byrant was determined to play for the Lady Huskies and this is what UConn did for her tonight:

This whole thread makes me sad. I miss SueDB and all the others that have left us. But we're richer for having known them.

Re: A Great Big Thank You

So all you sportsball fans--I seem to vaguely remember hearing about this, but can't find it on the forum menu. Being as I have an NBA player living across the street (ok, he's across the street behind my back pasture about 400 yards away, but he does still live across the street), perhaps I should...

Oh boy, looking forward to that, you're an all-time top 5 player. And completely understand that life wins, we lost Jim this year late due to a bad life event. I did manage to get you a 4th place finish in the Yahoo FF. :-D :-D :-D

A Great Big Thank You

Ya, sportsball stuff is an "opt-in" here at Fogbow, and not many care at all, but 26 of ya have cared enough to have taken the time to play in the pick 'em games available here. Some have passed away (sincere tears here), but 5-10 people a year take the time out to play and I'm taking this time to g...

Can you have a trial without witnesses?
At the Big Dog's impeachment trial, the witnesses' depositions were videotaped, and the Senate reviewed those. No live witnesses.
I think that makes me ill.

Re: The Federal Budget Deficit Is (No Longer) Normal

If the biggest earners don't pay taxes, there's going to be deficits. In history, if you shove the tax bill onto the "little people" it ends up destroying the country.

/r/IncelTears at Reddit is disturbing by showing the incel inner thinking. Reddit banned most of the MGTOW/Incel subs, but this one puts a mirror on them and relentlessly hammers the stupidity incels generate.

Re: What are you watching on TV these days?

I don't know the result, but this was taped months ago so the result has been in the can for a long time. I'm sure it's Ken Jennings. He had the buzzer timed perfectly. That's the primary road to success. I don't plan to watch. It's become trivial. And involves trivia. Well, ya. Ken won the first g...

Re: War with Iran?

Invading Afghanistan/Iraq from a miltary standpoint were simple exercises. The geo-political portion was unwinnable before they did it, while they did it, and for the 18 years after the military portions completed. The effort to invade an occupy Iran would destroy the world economy, starting with ou...

Invading Afghanistan was a mistake.

Invading Iraq was a mistake.

There was no available outcome from invading them that was better than not invading.

Re: The Trial of Schaeffer Cox - GUILTY

I've never understood why the christian god requires people to beg for help via telepathic communication. Shouldn't the christian god just assist everyone without all of the daily "prayers" if the christian god is truly so loving & caring? I'm reminded of a line from noted poet Ian Anderson (who pr...
