Bragg Manhattan DA charges tfg? Hush money. tfg “INDICATED!”

If [Trump] can’t meet all of the elements of the defense, what his lawyers advised him probably isn’t relevant. And if it is relevant, then he has to waive the privilege to get it in front of the jury. Suppose Trump gets the advice-of-counsel defense onto the field with the requirement to waive att...

Bragg Manhattan DA charges tfg? Hush money. tfg “INDICATED!”

I think it’s unlikely that the judge is going to allow him to both raise the defense and not raise it. He’s going to have to pick one. If he can’t meet all of the elements of the defense, what his lawyers advised him probably isn’t relevant. And if it is relevant, then he has to waive the privilege ...

The only time I didn’t like DST was in Alaska. Where I lived, it didn’t get dark til after midnight in the summer. Kids were outside my window playing when I was trying to sleep (get off my lawn!). But they liked DST (they called it ADT) because it was hard enough to do business with the lower 48, e...

So D's dad's house sold (for 40K over asking) and the three kids all made just under $100K a piece, a pretty good inheritance if you ask me, even if the oldest kid is mad he didn't get a free house and is no longer on speaking terms with his sister. I have a question. I still have D's parent's will...

Every time I go to the ER with an allergic reaction I get a call from the insurance company wanting details about the incident so they can determine if there’s third party liability. It’s triggered by one of those codes.

The Navy demoted him in July 2022 following a damaging Pentagon inspector general’s report that substantiated allegations about his inappropriate behavior as a White House physician, a previously unreported decision confirme...

He’s your Dad, so you can call him whatever you want, but I’m saying Happy Birthday to Admiral Dadhorn. No. Make that Admiral Dadhornblower. See what I did there? That's nice, but I am his son and namesake, and I can't call him by a rank he never carried. He'd be disappointed. I do have an alternat...

:crying: :crying: :crying: I’ve learned to live with my mammalian meat and dairy allergy. Chicken tastes like whatever you cook it in. The Impossible Whopper at Burger King is surprisingly edible. NO! Get your mind out of the gutter. :fingerwag:

I was thinking of C.S. Forester’s beloved character Horatio Hornblower, who, like Admiral Dadhorn, rose to the rank of Admiral.

14th Amendment Trial - Removing Trump from CO Ballot

I should add, Kagan, Jackson, and Sotomayor concurred in the judgment- they agreed that a State cannot remove a candidate for national office from the ballot. But they thought the majority went too far by addressing things beyond that yes-or-no question.

From the above article: According to Liz Truss, the former prime minister, it’s all down to the “deep state”, a suffocating conspiracy of bureaucrats and quangos that is determined to thwart the noble ambitions of elected politicians such as herself. Truss, by the way, campaigned for Remain, but the...

INDICTED (INDICATED) #3 USA v Donald Trump - Judge Tanya Chutkan - #J6 Election Interference, Fake Electors - Jack Smith

In my view we are where we are as a result of the cowardice, incompetence and sloth of one man. Merrick Garland. He prosecuted the privates and let the officers get away. He finally moved after the January 6 Committee did most of his work for him. And then he appointed a Special Counsel. Why didn't...

But yeah I think there are ways the jury system can rest on unreliable judgements by jurors. Like folk beliefs in the reliability of eyewitness testimony debunked by psychologists like Elizabeth Loftus. It cuts both ways. That’s why many people, despite the verdict, will never be convinced that Rit...

I recall (vaguely) a line from Errol Morris' The Thin Blue Line in which police said of their suspect something like "he almost seemed to be protesting his innocence too much". The film goes on to make a persuasive case that he WAS innocent, and in fact his conviction was ultimately overt...
