Re: Adorable Fur Babies Pix and Videos (& feathers & scales &...

I don’t take good pics. Sprout takes good pics. But he’s not here.

Floyd is teething. He’s chewing on my purse strap here. But there are no bite marks. He’s gumming where it hurts the most. Also, he loves the water from the garden hose.

How long did he ignore warning signs? Can you even get to stage 4 without a physical clue?

I hate to be this guy, but the hidden-from-non-members option doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment. The advanced bbcodes are not working. The developer hasn’t updated the extension yet. Is that why anything under the Abbc3spoiler tag is unopenable? They all seem to be from before...

Re: Cringeworthy Advertisements

If ads are to be remembered in association with their products, this one both failed and succeeded in equal measure with me. This ad ran during the early 60s. I was under 10 and it was my favorite commercial. Seeing it now, I see how my selective memory works. I only remembered that it was abo...

You dog! My second-favorite picker after Leo Kottke.
I dealt with Leo when I repped John.

I really liked them both. Great talents.
John Fahey taught Leo how to play.

Exactamundo! If one reads any of the ‘I Went Undercover at a Slaughterhouse’ exposés, one knows that management doesn’t give two shits about the consumer. Their attitude is that the ‘market’ will expose the weak and the strong will clamber over their backs and it will all shake out. What that means ...

I like pork. Did you know that Smithfield, which bought Hormel, is now owned by a Chinese company? The major pork producers in the US are now Chinese owned. When I heard the news a couple of years ago, I was concerned because of China’s well-known (to American companies who do business there) “let t...

Re: Plane Crash - Jet Crash

Once upon a time two friends and I rescued a family from their burning home at 2am. They were dazed - probably a little carbon monoxide dopey, and we pulled them out of their beds from a dead sleep. As we stood outside in stunned silence watching the flames devour this little house the husband yelle...

Maybenaut, I loved Bill James’ Baseball Abstracts, which came out every year just before spring training.
