John Darash/Vidurek and the National LIberty Alliance

National Liberty Alliance; 3979 Albany Post Road, Suite 107; Hyde Park, New York, 12538 Another empty lot, this time south of the FDR Presidential Library. Clever way for Darash/Vidurek to avoid the wrath of the USPS I suppose... Edit: And because it has to be done... https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

So, once you stop enforcing the tax laws, how ya gonna pay the federal employees???

You're not. Once the federal employees all quit over a lack of pay, Orly will have accomplished the RWNJ's wettest dream: A federal government so small, it can be drowned in the sink.

A blast from the past for the :sterngard: amongst us ;) Mashable: That '60s show: What American high school students dressed like in 1969 Not that the teachers weren't bad either  High School teacher Sandy Brockman wearing a bold print hippie-style dress, in Denver, Colorado.

Speaking of football, spare a thought for Grant & Tory's hoomins, who are avid Seahawks fans - and who were amongst those who lost all power due to the winds. They only got it back 15 minutes after the game had ended. And one place that hadn't lost power was at FDJ's house... https://www.youtube.com...

If I were a judge (I know, fat chance with my Zoe Baird and Douglas Ginsburg problems) If Kreep can do it, surely it should be possible to find a place to get elected judge ;) (Why some places in the US figured that having voters electing judges & prosecutors was a good idea, I'll never understand.)

George Zimmerman - AKA The Further Adventures of 'Invincible Man'

Well, I never understood the women who dated OJ after he murdered Nicole and Ron Goldman either. IIRC someone once suggested that it was the mothering instinct that kicked in, and how most of these women thought that only they could set the guy straight. We had an equally infamous murderer over her...

"George Soros funded the Ferguson riots" appears to be the latest meme on the various RWNJ outlets (Washington Times is one such outlet). It's based on the Soros-founded Open Society Foundations giving grants to civil rights grassroots groups around the country, which via an impressive leap of logic...

Kev appears to have been fairly active on the NLA forum, so I doubt it was a case of joining out of drunkenness. Apparently he's had a beef with the Mass. state coordinators, resulting a bit of an outburst a while ago.

That didn't take long: NBC New York: United to Offer Flights to Cuba Out of Newark as New Rules Take Effect Friday I can't imagine AA will want to sit on their hands too long, given that they have a hub at the heart of Cuban-American country in Miami. Obama and immigration

“Congress has the power to stop this action by denying funds for its implementation,” Congress also has the power to pass a comprehensive immigration reform, and has indeed been asked to do so by the President. But why take the rational route, when you can play children's games instead

John Darash/Vidurek and the National LIberty Alliance

Vidurek made a curious comment a few weeks ago. Someone asked whether a public accounting of NLA donations was available. Vid said, as I recall, "No, and there will never be. You should know why. Which is why we shouldn't be talking about this." I assumed it was a reference to the IRS. Any thoughts...

Terror attack at French satirical magazine office - Charlie Hebdo

Most of Charlie Hebdo's cartoons may appear offensive to people not used to French satire. Quite. I wonder how a front page, satirizing the massacre would have gone down, considering that Charlie Hebdo first did one satirizing the Rabaa massacre, and then alter followed it up by satirizing the Nige...

Holder was there and didn't go.

Holder was taking part in a security summit held at the same time as the march. Why they scheduled it at the same time, I have no idea.

Boston Olympics 2024?

Looks like an interesting bid, even if it's 9½ years away. Sailing events would be spectacular, if they could fit it in the harbor (like Sydney did IIRC), with plenty of space for on-shore viewers. That was one thing London got spot-on, and where Beijing flubbed badly.

The ambassador to Denmark is also a fairly extrovert type. He's been profiled in a Danish TV series and both he and his husband took part in last years Copenhagen Pride parade, apparently together with members of staff from the embassy.

In the UK, it would probably have resulted in a super-injunction, where the press can't even report that there's a gag order in place. Thankfully they seem to have fallen out of favour rather quickly, following the frenzy back in 2011.
