Re: Gavin Seim

So Gavin never learned anything about legal and ethical hiring practices while working in his daddy's business? Or while he was growing up he never heard his daddy talk about having to tell the guy doing the hiring he couldn't hire women based on the size of their knockers? He seems less concerned ...

Yay. This is the first time I've successfully posted all morning. Test I haven't followed your issue with viewing embedded Tweets closely but when I have similar problems the first thing I do is try another browser. I use Firefox and a few times when I have had issues with a web site I have tried o...

Re: Fogbow woodworkers' club

Thanks, all. The juniors will not really appreciate the work, but it's fun to make anyway ;). I'm sure it'll get dinged up and treated roughly, but it's built well, so it should hold up. This one is made out of cherry as well, so I'm sure it'll darken and look more like Chilidog's over time. The dar...

Apparently the Walgreens down the street from me got hit again last night. Broken windows and fire/smoke. Not sure how much was looted. They had only reopened about a month ago after extensive looting and damage from the initial unrest.

Since school is remote for us this year, I'm in the process of making a few small-ish desks for the kids. Hopefully, having a dedicated space will encourage good work habits. We'll see. I just finished the first one. The second is in the glue-up stage. DSC_7268.JPG DSC_7285.JPG I'm not entirely sure...

Re: Gavin Seim

Here's a telling question from Gavin's Facebook page: You'd think Seim wouldn't be wishfully "wondering" about harm caused his fellow business owners. Traffic is managed in my neighborhood grocery, so shoplifting would be harder to pull off. More employees, fewer shoppers, managed traffic...

The whole article is worth reading but is not specifically about Pence. But this quote is just too good: "Her voice grew strong. “I would say it takes a stronger woman to submit to a man than to want to rule over him. And I would argue that point to the death,” she said. She felt freer as she s...

Minneapolis just closed all indoor bars (which were supposed to be only operating at 25% capacity IIRC). Good. Hopefully that slows the increase we're seeing.
