Judge, Prosecution, and Defense all in agreement with Cox going to a medium security facility. They are discussing FCI Sheridan in Oregon.

Judge: I think that it is appropriate to read the judgment.
Judge reads the sentence.
All counts to be served concurrently.

120 months for weapons
188 months for conspiracy

3 months probation for weapons
5 months probation for conspiracy

$800 fine.$100 for each count

Bravo poots, you probably added a few months to the sentence.
Likely.

Re: The Trial of Schaeffer Cox - GUILTY

188 months!!

Judge: His criminal history of 2 over states. It maybe appropriate for a reduction. This is not an outlier case. But the sentence should be less than the high end.

188 months is my judgment.
So around almost another 6 years?

Sounds as if he’s softening a little. :(
Judge: The type of long term therapy that Mr Cox needs is not available in the prison system. That is unfortunate.

Judge: The sentence should be not greater than necessary. The sentence should reflect the seriousness of the offense. It should be treated seriously by the court. The court should protect the public.

Re: The Trial of Schaeffer Cox - GUILTY

Gonna be some unhappy poots.
Judge: on the weapons charges I think that those sentences should not change. It is appropriate to have them run concurrent. So 10 years for the weapons. The question is the remaining count of the conspiracy to murder count.

Judge: There has been some discussion as to what is a "plan."

It does not have to be that detailed. It seems to me that if there was a plan then that is all it takes. It doesn't matter if it is detailed.

Judge: He did say "not yet" but he never did call the whole thing off.

He prepared for war when he left. He was willing to smuggle weapons across an international boundary.
He may have been afraid. But he did not turn away from criminal activity.

He’s already served 120 with good behavior.
What? He's done nearer 120 weeks than 120 months.
He's served something like 80 months of his original sentence (January 2013) of 310. I don't think he's got 40 months of "good time."
