Re: Hijack this thread

Finally received a call back from the doctor at Cleveland Clinic. I have an appointment for Dec 17th, so going up the night before. I am hoping against hope that she will be able to get a bit closer as to what is causing the issues that I have been having. It's just getting worse. I will spare detai...

Re: Weather Alerts

They are calling for our first snow storm tomorrow, maybe a few inches here, more in the mountains and north. I'm glad I put my lights up outside while the weather was still nice. Wow... where did all that snow come from? When the cold front came through here we had nothing? We got about an inch ye...

Re: Hijack this thread

I have an account with Huntington Bank. When I write a check over $50 for work done on my house and the person who does the work cashes it at my bank is charged $10 because they are not an account holder there. My person told me about this, so I called the bank. Policy, they said. But, they said, y...

Re: Poll Watching

While in Las Vegas, I learned that it is a well known fact that Joe Biden is a proven pedophile. The R observers were generally fucking nuts. What “proof”? :bored: :waiting: It's on the seized Dominion server in Hillary's emails. Which was in the basement of the bingo parlor. In Germany.

Re: Election Day Nov 3, 2020

I want to be optimistic, but I was optimistic in 2016 and look where we are. So, I'm being cautious. I probably won't celebrate at all until Biden is sworn in. Until then, just trying to keep my sanity.

Tomorrow morning at 5:45 I will be at a small ruralish precinct here in central(ish) Ohio. We have stickers to put on the floor at every six feet. Every voting kiosk and machine will be at least 6 feet apart. Aside: Ohio has voting "cabinets" that have 4 machines: One each on the ends and ...

My mother's mouth looked a bit like that towards her end. Doctor said it was due to cyanosis (sp?) or low oxygen levels. He also looks a bit jaundiced to me, but that could just be the picture or my monitor.

Re: What's Your Current Voting Plan? VBM, Early Voting, Election Day

Did early in-person absentee voting (what they call it here in Ohio). Why they call it that, I don't know. Anyway, line wasn't too long. Took about 20 or 30 minutes to get through the line and vote. Easy Peasy. Unlike Tuesday where the line extended into the parking garage. And yes, everyone was wea...

Re: GET OUT THE VOTE 2020

I voted this afternoon. Took a few minutes to get into the parking garage and I was almost afraid there wouldn't be any spaces, but there were. And one that was relatively close to the door. No lines extending out to parking like on Tuesday, though one of the election workers mentioned that the 4pm ...

Re: GET OUT THE VOTE 2020

I will be voting on Friday. I have some "use it or lose it" PTO, so took Friday as a random day off. I'll go vote in the morning then probably hunker down until time for me to work the election in November. I saw a store selling a mask with Edvard Munch's "The Scream" printed on ...

Re: Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933 - 2020), and her successor

A serious question: Is there anyway the nomination of whoever could be held up somehow? I know that a quorum for a Senate vote only requires 51 Senators, so that is a wash even if all Dems and Independents abscond away somewhere. There would need to be at least 4 Reps that do the same, which we all ...
