Re: Hijack this thread

I can't do VR, sadly. My vertigo goes nutty and I get nauseous. So, I play my MMOs and RPGs.

Re: Hijack this thread

After months of researching and waffling back and forth on the necessity, I finally did it an pulled the trigger (or clicked the check out button) and bought a new PC. I got my federal return (yes, I file very early since my taxes are simple) so I had the cash. It should be here in a few days. Spec...

Just an FYI, pretty consistent study results show that exercising before breakfast yields 40% more weight loss.
That would presume one is not a shuffling zombie barely able to find the coffee pot in the morning.

Here is the pessimist (pragmatist?) in me: It won't matter who the nominee is. People will be so butt hurt that they cannot let it go and will "protest" vote for a third party or for the asshole that is currently in office. Yeah, they will let it burn to the ground. They don't care. If they can't ha...

Bread really isn't an issue. I have my grandmother's recipe and love to bake bread. It is mostly the convenience factor. Just about every "just toss in the microwave" type of thing has soy in it. So, guess I will have to start planning better

For the first time since I found out I wasn't actually allergic to shellfish, I had some shrimp. I don't like it. Wasn't the texture or anything like that. According to my roommate, who is the afficiando of all things shrimp, it was very tasty and good. So yeah. I do not like shrimp. I remember lov...

Are people who do not have sex and don't care ashamed to admit it? I'll admit it. I've always had a low libido and could take or leave the physical act of sex. I also didn't have my first consensual encounter until I was 25 mainly because abstinence is the best form of birth control and BCP made me...

My new exercise "routine" just got derailed. Slipped going down the steps to the basement and twisted my ankle a good one. Gonna be a couple of days of limping and ice. :bag:

I love ice cream, whipped cream, creamy sauces and soups, yogurt cheese... oh my, the cheese. My brother and father drank, and I think still drink, a ton of milk. Growing up, the parentals had us drink milk at dinner. Like Lani, I got sick every time I did. It hates me. I'm severely lactose intoler...

Since the soy allergy was found, I have cut out ALL processed/fast foods. It's amazing how much stuff has soy in it. I had some McD fries and a McChicken sandwich the other day and had a full rebellion for two days of my digestive system, so that is totally out for me. I've started an exercise progr...

I'm starting talk therapy again. Just a few sessions. Psychologist is working on her Doctorates and I had my first appointment with her last week on 1/2. We moved from Louisiana when I was around 5 years old. I have distinct memories of finding various lizards (and once a baby gator/croc [not sure which one] after some extremely heavy rains). I also kept tadpoles and frogs in plastic ice cream buckets. I think my parents had a picture of me with my "...

Got in touch with an old friend a couple of weeks ago. We kinda both fell out of touch with each other towards the end of 2015 for various reasons so the re-connection was good. Turns out she left Texas about a year or so ago (same reason as me: couldn't afford the rent anymore). Divorced her husban...

Holidays for me are really just another day, for the most part. Had a nice quiet day. Dawn was off visiting the parentals for the eve and day, so I had the house to myself. Turn up the thermostat (she is warm natured and tends to keep it at around Morgue) and enjoyed the time alone. Did some gaming....
