Re: What are you reading lately?

Just finished reading "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman. Now it makes me want to read more of his stuff.

I highly doubt I will watch the TV series (can't anyway, we don't get Starz), but I really did enjoy the book.

I'm just glad you are the one organizing it and not me. I've had to do that organizing thing before and hated it. :)

On the bright side, you don't have to arrange for fruit baskets and a dozen bottle of water in every room.

I would bring my clarinet to help make the musics, but the pads and mouthpiece needs replacing. Plus, I can't find anyone willing to work on it, because it's made of metal. Last place I called told me to make it into a lamp. Maybenaut - Still serious about having a room of mumbling snorers? :)...

I'm going to show up. I've already taken the time off AND bought my first swimming suit in 20 years. Just be prepared for blinding white skin.

Stuff like that is why I love small towns. :)

Someday I may move back to one. Who knows, might be tired of hearing sirens at night.Need to save the pennies so I can buy myself a few wooded acres somewhere there is fiber optic internet service.

Re: Any Excel Gurus here?

Before starting a post on Mr Excel (Thanks for the pro-tip Northland!) I did some spelunking through their forums, in case someone had already posted on a similar issue.

Got me thinking... should I be using a VLOOKUP?

Re: Any Excel Gurus here?

I'm confused by your: IF(AND('Sheet B'!A2)<=DATE(2019,1,31),('Sheet B'!A2)>=DATE(2019,1,1))),"Y","N") That has five left ( and seven ). Parenthesis have to be in pairs. <snippy> :snippity: > :snippity: >> Yeah, that was just bad transcription on my part. The spreadsheet and everything is on ...

Re: Any Excel Gurus here?

Remember, working with formulas/expressions/variables requires days of bad language and various trips to the store to replenish your stock of WTFs until suddenly you add parenthesis in the correct spot and "ah-ha" is heard across the land. 2 hours later you proclaim, "well shit" and the whole thing...

Creating a column for "Period" like
=month(A2) & "-"& year(A2)
give 6-2019 etc
Ok. That is an idea. That would make the data a little cleaner to work with, definitely.

Have you considered a pivot table to put the data into the table format that you desire?
Pivot Tables don't really give me what I'm looking for. I worked with them for two hours. There are too many blank cells for it to handle the data comfortably.

Any Excel Gurus here?

I've been scratching my head for the last several working hours trying to get a formula (or formulas) to work in Excel. Here is the breakdown. I have a workbook. On Sheet B, I have three columns (for sake of clarity, let's call them A, B, and C). These columns have Dates in them. These dates range f...

Re: Sprint and T-Mobile merger

I dropped Sprint several years ago because I couldn't get a signal in my apartment, in the middle of a large suburb, with the balcony door open. I only got a decent signal if I was outside on the corner of the street. So I switched to Verizon after a friend of mine who had them as her carrier showed...

I have a brewing abscess, maybe, under a crown. My jaw and cheekbone hurt, my teeth hurt, all on the right side of my face. My regular dentist is on vacation, so I went to one of those chain dentistry places (Aspen Dental). Closer to the house, figured if they are nice maybe I'll switch. They took s...

For the first time in my life that I can remember, I got a call from Quinnipiac University to participate in their poll of Ohio voters. Re: Rape is the Easiest Crime to Get Away With

 Those facts and stats are disturbing! Is it any wonder why victims are often reluctant to report? If you experience a trauma like rape, and then law enforcement challenges your allegations and dismisses them, you are victimized all over again. Add to that the fact that an estimated 60...

The ocean was still warm in October. Yeah, no kidding. The ocean is ALWAYS still warm in October. It has been a couple of months, and since I'm a bit OCD when I travel, has a hotel been agreed upon yet? I'll be driving in (only 8 - 9 hours) so just need to know where I'll be parking my car. :) Sadly, I'll be leaving the Lola in Dayton. I think it would be too much for her to be stuck in a room w...

So, I am an idiot. I had a doctor's appointment today where my Gyn brought in someone to do an ultrasound. I totally forgot. I had put it on my calendar for Friday, for some reason. Anyway, two charges I can't really afford at the moment. *sighs* Gonna go sit in a corner and feel sorry for myself.
