Re: Terry Trussell - Dixie County Common Law Grand Jury Foreman

Paul, welcome back, have really missed you. :bighug: I think you have some very good points about the trial and lawyers. Now they could have hired Taitz and Klayman, and it would probably been worse, but not much, and the end result wouldn't have changed, other than maybe getting more time. At this...

Re: Terry Trussell - Dixie County Common Law Grand Jury Foreman

The funny thing is, there are legitimate legal arguments that can be made here. They are unlikely to succeed (but it's not impossible). But if they do, it will be because of conventional legal analysis and NOT any of the sovcit crap that Ingie and Terry and their hangers-on in cyber-space are likel...

Re: Terry Trussell - Dixie County Common Law Grand Jury Foreman

The appellate judges should take their time in issuing a perfect opinion. And they will. The Florida appellate courts are quite notorious for "taking their time" in the same measure that the defense/appellate attorneys "took their time" to get their shit together. Trussell's conviction was in June ...

Today is 6/5/17. The initial appellant's brief in the main appeal at the FL 1DCA was due today. Not filed. The cert petition for review regarding the appeal of the lower court's denial of Garcia's contempt charges against Juror Cannon was due 6/2/17. Still not filed. Does Florida law permit a motio...

Re: Terry Trussell - Dixie County Common Law Grand Jury Foreman

Quick update: #1: In the separate appeal which Garcia filed regarding her/Trussell's claim of contempt against Juror Cannon, the 1DCA's deadline for her to file a petition for review (on that specific issue only), was yesterday, 6/2/17. Didn't happen. Garcia filed no petition, nor did she file a req...

Too good to pass up: Naked Florida man steals $25K swan sculpture I mean, this story has it all: --a "Florida Man" --nudity --a 5-gallon bucket hiding frontal view on video --a huge, checkered statue of a swan, worth $25,000 Follow-up: the swan was found yesterday, undamaged. Re: Recipes!

Some years ago (maybe 25+) my oldest brother (who was always VERY firm about what he wanted and didn't want, and generally got his way) declared to his wife--and their housekeeper, who was also their cook--that he would no longer eat (and did NOT want to see on his table) anything which "swims, or f...

Personally, I feel sorry for Melania Trump. Obviously, she has huge shoes to fill (Michelle Obama; Laura Bush; Hillary Clinton; Barbara Bush; Nancy Reagan, etc.) and she doesn't stand a comparative chance. All I've read about her suggests to me that she is an intelligent woman, but (by background an...

Re: Recipes!

We use mayo instead of the melted butter and everybody gets their own so nobody has to share the heart. Some things one just doesn't share. Well, it's rare that we actually eat whole steamed artichokes (we do artichoke hearts, but as an ingredient in recipes, pretty often), but when we do, it's mel...

Re: Recipes!

Isn't it interesting how our geographic locales affect our "plentiful" and "scarce" foods? Definitely. I used to work with the daughter of a lobsterman. She was always willing to trade her lobster lunch for PB&J or tuna salad. She was sick of so much lobster! Also, cooked cherries are scarce up her...

Oh, God...a Jello mold. I may have mentioned here (several times) that my Mama (fine woman, with many fine qualities and skills) can't cook. Re: Terry Trussell - Dixie County Common Law Grand Jury Foreman

Okay, moving on to the 1DCA actions: Let's start with the main appeal . In that appeal, on April 6, 2017, there were two filings made for extensions of time (EOT). The first was made by attorney Morburger, and was asking for an EOT to file the initial appellant brief. That request was granted by the...

Much to report/discuss tonight, but let's start with Trussell's transfer from the Florida DOC facility at Lake Butler (RMC-Main) to the separate facility at Lake Butler (RMC-West). RMC-Main is the principal reception center for all new prison commitments to the FL DOC within FL's prison Region 2. RM...

Re: Rest in Peace

My parents lived in trailers (separate, far enough so dad wouldn't walk over). Excellent low-cost housing for retirees, grad students, mildly disabled adults, and low wage workers. It allowed them reasonable independence, even if too many of the residents kept the TV on Fox News. Sadly, land prices...

Aaron Hernandez was a despicable human being. I personally find it abhorrent when I read "tributes" to him from former U of Florida or Patriots teammates. Re: Terry Trussell - Dixie County Common Law Grand Jury Foreman

It means nothing except that the 1DCA is doing what they're supposed to do: Tell the opposition (in this case, the State) that they need to respond to a motion by "X" date, or the 1DCA will decide it on the merits of Garcia's motion filed on 4/6/17. This has happened before in this case (the 1DCA is...

Re: Terry Trussell - Dixie County Common Law Grand Jury Foreman

Well, boys and girls, the FL 1DCA has granted yet another extension for the filing of the initial appellant's brief, to 6/5/17 (not quite 2 months), but they have done it as a "shit or git off the pot" order . Appellant's amended third motion for extension of time filed on April 6, 2017, is granted....
