Re: Mississippi US Senate [remainder of Cochran's term]
Thanks, Sugar M. That sounds like an excellent information program to GOTV. I hope that today volunteers are knocking on many doors. This election really matters.

Re: Mississippi US Senate [remainder of Cochran's term]
Espy is asking for money with hours to go before the polls open in Mississippi. I cannot inagine that new or more ads will make much difference now. GOTV efforts should have priority; ads might help there.

NPR ran an interesting story about C. diff. infections. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2018/11/25/657861409/dangerous-infection-tied-to-hospitals-now-becoming-common-outside-them It was once thought that most infections were due to antibiotic use changing the flora of the gut or to acquir...

I think Pelosi is least effective when she is publicly representing the Democratic Party. Maybe she can find people who can do that more effectively.

I love that graphic showing the diversity of the Democratic members of the House. That is America. The lily white Republicans are on tge road to death.

Someone here probably remembers better than me, and I'm not doing any research on it, but my recollection is that the laws were changed because of the high number of women who would tell responding police that no, she was fine, don't arrest her husband. Often neighbors were the ones calling, not th...

What is "due process" for revoking Acosta's hard pass? I doubt the White House wants to charge him with a crime.

The question is not whether Bill and Hillary Clinton have the right to go on a speaking tour for which they charge as much as the market will bear. The question is whether this is good for the Democratic Party.

I use Peapod, which has ties to Stop and Shop and Giant groceries. I have had good luck with the produce. I think that mostly depends upon the produce manager. It may save me money if it eliminates most impulse buys. The fee is usually $6.95 plus a tip.

i seriously dislike the First Lady's interference in White House staffing. She has no competence to take such actions. If WH staff now must sneak quietly around her, a bad morale problem just got worse. Trump has the ability but not the strength to fix this.

Several analysts, including a recent Slate writer, are arguing that the Democrats did indeed have a significant Blue Wave in 2018. In fact, the base of support for the Republican Party has shifted from the suburbs to rural areas. I agree with these analysts. Good job!

If you stop and read the names on some WWI memorials in smaller towns and villages in England, you will see the same surname listed several times. So many families lost multiple, in some cases, all, their sons to this war. Every war is appalling; but WWI was especially brutal, annihilating a large ...
