Wow - gorgeous!

It reminds me of when I saw "Van Gogh's Van Gogh's" just over 20 years ago. They were also "unglassed" and LACMA let you go up close but had a large enough space that you could also be far enough away to see the forest, not just the trees!

Worst of the storm is now south of Houston slamming Fort Bend and Galveston Counties. I'd be tempted to say the worst is over for our area but this storm has been unpredictable.

The U.S. could offer a modified "Berlin Airlift" help during the transition, but I suspect Trump and his cronies will want to personally profit from that.
Why do I picture a WWII era bomber flying over London dropping packages of government cheese with little parachutes paper towels.

Re: Issues 2020: Medicare for All/Public Option

My understanding is that this regime has cut back the private Medicare Supplement by billions. There are several poison pills where a lot of Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid has lost a lot of funding in this budget. I believe that was the budget proposed by Trump, not what what was just agre...

 to Lani, RS and Mike. I’m pro-public option. While I’d really love to see it, IMHO we’re not prepared fiscally or culturally yet for Medicare for All. Insistence on that as the only possibility risks not only giving Trump a second term, but losing the House as well.

IANAL but IMHO, Flynn no longer expects to get a light sentence. He's angling for a pardon now.

I agree with Lani, Stern and RV. Mayor Pete's terrific but President in 2020 seems a stretch. Nonetheless, I'll be happy to vote for him whenever the opportunity arrives.

As for other experience in the meantime, how about VP?

Apparently Trump is urging her to run for Gov of Arkansas.
Obviously the president doesn't know the election was last year; the next election will be in 2022.
Supposedly there's also an alternative plan. Put Tom Cotton in as Defense Secretary and have her run for his Senate seat.
