Re: USA v Michael T. Flynn; USDC for DC; False Statements to FBI; Guilty Plea

I missed your whole recap and analysis of the hearing a couple of weeks ago, FRP. Just read it this morning and couldn't agree more with everyone else - great job and what a great service to those of us IANALs!

Plus, also, too, love how you nailed the outcome.

Many, many thanks. You

Re: Republican National Convention 2020 Charlotte NC; DC@White House

I'm anxiously waiting for the Downton Abbey movie to be available for free. Do you know something I don't? In a distant past, I relied on Upstairs, Downstairs for relief. It's been on HBO which I get free with my cable, so I DVR'd it - sure glad I did during this anxious political season! My other ...

Good for you, Lani. I watched the Downton Abbey movie. Again. It's become my "go to" safe place during much of the RNC. (So much so that I can now quote whole swathes of dialogue verbatim. )

ETA in response to June Bug: Probably. I'm feeling like October 2016 when I suddenly realized that there are a lot of horrible people. I was happy in my bubble, thinking that the US was making progress towards becoming a more perfect union when I heard people I thought I knew say terrible things ab...

Re: Republican National Convention 2020 Charlotte NC; DC@White House

The first night was all about exciting the base - playing to their fears and anger.

Last night's focus was twofold: giving waverers permission to vote for Trump while sliming Biden.

IMO they accomplished their goals both nights. I now expect the race to be dead even by next week.

I'm very afraid.

Nikki Haley was not even able to say the words "Confederate statue". She said that when she was Governor Democrats and Republicans were able to "get together and remove a divisive symbol". She didn't even have the courage to say that we got together and removed the a Confederate statue flag . She's...

I don't think so. I think he was saying Trump holding the Chinese responsible for the pandemic and being tough on China otherwise is the straight route to victory for Trump.

The River fire is threatening our old neighborhood of 15 years off River Road and Hwy 68. We built our home there. Everyone’s evacuated from the neighborhood but a friend of our daughter’s has been taking videos. Unbelievably scary!

Oh, there will be something. And then lots of somethings. 2020 will make 2016 seem like just a walk in the park. Trump owns the DOJ, is destroying USPS, and has stacked the courts. I'll go back to my room now .... Absolutely couldn't agree with you more, Lani. :bighug: I'll join you in that room...

I'm still holding out for Tammy Duckworth, although I think it may be Harris. I'm not impressed with her record as a prosecutor, or with her work for constituents as a Senator. The subject doesn't matter, but we wrote to her and to Dianne Feinstein about a rather serious issue my husband had with th...
