This is America? Officers on horseback riding flash bangs at what MSNBC reports says has been 100% peaceful protest? :crying:
America? It looks a lot more like Tsarist Russia. Oh my God.

Re: The Ahmaud Arbery case

IANAL, but there's something that doesn't make sense to me. The elder McKnight was an ex-cop. Shouldn't he have known to yell "Citizen's arrest" or something like that? Or, at the least, shouldn't he have told the officer who interviewed him on scene that he did? Even if he hadn't? This and not pla...

I really hope Stern, Filly and bob are right.

Even so, Flynn either gets off or gets pardoned and will probably get his old or another job back. Plus, too, Roger Stone will get pardoned when his appeal fails, if not before.

I am so disheartened.

Sorry I'll miss you all tonight. Some of the musicians in our neighborhood have been giving garage performances on occasion and we have one just about to start - all Latin in honor of CDM!

Have a great meetup - hope to see you again next week.

Re: Joseph "Joe" Robinette Biden Jr. 2020 - 4/25/19 He's In!

You may be right about Biden dropping it, TF. Since the comments you're seeing show people mostly don't care, and on-air coverage seems mainly limited to his emphatic denial, that may be his best option at this point. Boy do I wish, though, that if he was going to appear anywhere on this subject, it...

Oh, good. Musk tweets Tesla stock is too high, causing it to go down. Then he sees no need for physical assets, including his house. Plus, too, another call to give people back their freedom. So nice to see he's his usual thoughtful, sane self. I mean, we can always use another stable genius can't w...

Couldn't watch it because I was convinced Morning Joe was a big mistake, especially after hearing all of them bash his Kavanaugh comments in advance. Seeing the fallout, I think he needs to get himself booked with other media quickly. Stick strictly to his talking points, then pivot to his campaign ...

Re: Joseph "Joe" Robinette Biden Jr. 2020 - 4/25/19 He's In!

I've seen the comparison described here and elsewhere as who is "less rapey," and I suppose that's apt. For me personally, Abraham Zapruder could produce a film of Biden raping Reade on Fifth Avenue in front of a dozen witnesses and I'd still vote for him. Not because I think rape is OK -- I don't ...
