Re: Malaria Drugs, Antibiotics and Other COVID19 "Treatments"

I said it because he talks authoritatively about things he isn't an authority on. I think that’s the more interesting broader conversation. This is the culmination of the mostly right-wing multi-decade war on science and expertise in general. “Don’t trust climatologists when they say global warming...

Re: Malaria Drugs, Antibiotics and Other COVID19 "Treatments"

Somerset, I will admit I was somewhat shocked by your post, but like I said, we're all going through a stressful time, and I maybe just a little bit understand that your wife is out of the country and you're not sure when you will see her again. So I quietly deleted the post and hoped you wouldn't ...

Re: Malaria Drugs, Antibiotics and Other COVID19 "Treatments"

I have to say that I can't remember any incidences ever of any anti-bacterial/parasitoid ever being even remotely effective against a virus. I am having a really hard time seeing why now would be ANY different. Other than the obvious reasons I mean. I think the idea is that they may mitigate the sy...

Where did I attack him personally? You didn't Jeffrey, I did. In another thread I said he was full of shit. That post was deleted. I didn't say that because he talks about things he doesn't have a degree in, I said it because he talks authoritatively about things he isn't an authority on. Foggy - y...

I forget, what are your qualifications to opine on all of this, other than having an interest in reading various studies? Slarti the White (the former Slartibartfast) gave us a lot of information about Danraft's qualifications here . Not to put too fine a point on it, but some undergraduate courses...

Small signs of progress in Erika’s condition. She is still on the ventilator, but she is responding well to treatment and they are adjusting things as a consequence.

Thank you all for your thoughts and support. it means a lot to me. :grouphug:

Mrs Somerset loves to sew, but hasn't done much since she moved from Manila to Johore Bahru over 15 years ago. Once she moved here to the US and had a lot of time on her hands, she discovered crocheting and learned to do some really cool stuff by watching YouTube videos. Now half our coffee mugs ha...

Never used a Janome - I’m a Bernina girl. My $5,000 Bernina crapped out — nothing fatal — it just needs servicing, but that’ll have to wait. So I turned to my $175 Brother, and other than getting used to where things are, it’s doing a good job. I’m out at the cabin now where I have another Bernina ...

So I really don't know anything. Though I did spend a chunk of my career in particle analysis. As I read it, when this stuff comes out of your nose/mouth, it comes out in fairly large (for particles) wet globs. Easy to filter with just about anything. When this dries out in the air, you nave really...

Some years ago🙄 I bought a bidet on Prime day cuz it was so cheap and they are wonderful. And then we moved and I lost track of it. Found it last night! Used properly, as Maybenaut said way a long time ago (last week?), they really can cut one’s need for TP to near zero. Similarly, a "washing hose"...

I’m in trouble. No smoking though (whew).
Obesity often includes hypertension and diabetes, which have been mentioned as underlying conditions.

A question. While inventorying my toilet paper supply I found a full bottle of rubbing alcohol under my sink in the master bath. There was an expiration date on the bottle - November 2016.
