Re: What are you watching on TV these days?

I just finished the most recent season of "The Expanse." I really love the show, but for me they made their first serious misstep in 4 seasons - though it's not so serious that I'm not eagerly awaiting the 5th season! I'm putting my thoughts on it in "sekrit" tags in case anyone is planning to watch...

Re: Trump - POTUS Tweets and Social Media

So, is he so hampered by the "hoax" that it's kept him from doing his job and he deserves an extra 2 or 3 years in office (even if that keeps him in office beyond the 8-year limit) as he's often claimed, or is he such an amazing man that he's been able to accomplish more than any other president dur...

 That doesn't look like a country /w clean edge borders. It looks more like a GOP gerrymandered congressional district map. Yeah, good luck with that. That's what I was just thinking. If I were a Palestinien, I don't think I'd feel all that comfortable with my entire nation - except for a sma...

If you'd like something to listen to during a commercial break, here's Randy Rainbow (with IMPOTUS VO) of My Favorite Things from his new Hey Gurl, It's Christmas album I love Randy Rainbow! I think my favorite one of his so far would be between the one he did to "Cell Block Tango" from the musical...

Should have taken the Hunter for Bolton witness deal.
Who offered that deal?
I don't think such an offer was ever actually made, but there was some speculation about it as a hypothetical deal.

Re: Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

There is already something like that in place, I think it's 120 days. What they were trying to do was game that rule to promote certain deputies who were already confirmed, but it didn't work out exactly the way they wanted. But, of course, they can't be bothered to make the rule apply to Trump, huh?

Re: Hijack this thread

For summer people there's a big difference between seeing something they know is fake and something they know is real. My husband's like that. He enjoys explicit horror movies, but doesn't like things showing real-life pain, injuries, medical procedures or anything like that. He says he knows that t...

He’s now got acting department heads who dare not speak up. I hope if Dems get control of Congress back they can pass a law that would put a limit on how long a cabinet position can be filled by an "acting" appointee before the president either must submit a nominee for the permanent position or Co...

By the way, for anyone interested in learning about infectious diseases - and the political and ethical quandaries involved in researching then - Richard Preston's "Crisis in the Red Zone" about the 2013-2014 Ebola outbreak is absolutely fascinating.

This is Dillon, our #2 dog in terms of time. Just got bad diagnosis, heart based hemanglosarcoma, a cancer of the blood vessels. Very aggressive, it’s gotten to her lungs & heart. Maybe 3 weeks to live.

I’m gonna be crying a lot.
I'm so sorry!
