US v. Trump - Espionage Act - (9:23-cr-80101) District Court, S.D. Florida

I haven't followed this that closely, but I don't think it's that unusual for a judge to ask the parties to submit competing jury instructions. It's a starting point for litigating what the instructions will ultimately say.

Will Heath Berger of Berger Fischoff Shumer Wexler & Goodman LLP be deciding if Roodles gets into Heaven? They must be having a great time. This never ceases to make me chuckle. Fans of Better Call Saul will get it. For those who haven’t seen it, the protagonist’s real name is Jimmy McGil...

If he’s facing “insurmountable difficulties” in securing the bond, it seems likely that he’d face similar (if perhaps not identical) difficulties in paying the judgment. To me, that is all the more reason to deny any stay of enforcement, so the judgment creditor can get start collecting. I have no s...

E. Jean Carroll v. Donald J. Trump and United States of America (poll added!)

Farros Cousins points to the fine print in the submitted bond and that Carroll's lawyer Roberta Kaplan wants answer from the court. Essentially the fine print gives the defendant 30 days to pay Chubb, then Chubb gets another 30 days to pay Carroll . part may have been mentioned before :snippity: Ye...

A half sammich of swiss, lettuce, and onion on WW with mayo and a touch of mustard. Never had a problem before. ask them to check you for Alpha gal. It might not have been what you just ate, but what you ate earlier in the day. Reactions to Alpha gal are generally 6 to 8 hours after you eat. They d...

I was in the ER again yesterday. I had another allergic reaction. We went to my favorite Mexican restaurant and I had chicken tacos. Chicken. Flour Tortilla. Salsa. That’s it. There must have been some cross-contamination. About an hour after I ate I got a stomach ache. That’s a common symptom with ...

How does it do against a shopping bag? That’s the real question.

INDICTED (INDICATED) #4 - Quadfecta! Perfecta? - Judge Scott McAfee - Georgia v. Trump ET AL - P01135809- Fani Willis

One thing I’ve never understood about this supposed actual conflict of interest and Willis supposedly having a financial stake: The State AG’s office, that is, Willis, hired Wade. Wade did the work, and earned the money he got from the State. Why shouldn’t he get to do what he wants with the money i...

The tweet says, “In other words, she punted the decision to later.”

I don’t think that’s quite right. Trump would have to make another motion, otherwise she’s leaving it up to the jury.

I doubt it comes up in today's hearing on the motions to dismiss, but he's so stupid... Shocking revelation, I know. While Donald Trump’s legal team prepared to make arguments attempting to dismiss his classified documents criminal case, Trump was working on a new angle of his own. In a pre-recorde...

Bragg Manhattan DA charges tfg? Hush money. tfg “INDICATED!”

If [Trump] can’t meet all of the elements of the defense, what his lawyers advised him probably isn’t relevant. And if it is relevant, then he has to waive the privilege to get it in front of the jury. Suppose Trump gets the advice-of-counsel defense onto the field with the requirement to waive att...

I think it’s unlikely that the judge is going to allow him to both raise the defense and not raise it. He’s going to have to pick one. If he can’t meet all of the elements of the defense, what his lawyers advised him probably isn’t relevant. And if it is relevant, then he has to waive the privilege ...

The only time I didn’t like DST was in Alaska. Where I lived, it didn’t get dark til after midnight in the summer. Kids were outside my window playing when I was trying to sleep (get off my lawn!). But they liked DST (they called it ADT) because it was hard enough to do business with the lower 48, e...

I have a question. I still have D's parent's will...
